I'm shaking and my hands are numb. I feel the same way I did that night and I'm terrified. I don't want to hurt anyone again.
"You're right, Im sorry, I shouldn't have came into your house causing a scene." He began to laugh like nails on a chalkboard. I look at the woman beside him and realize that she's not a woman at all. Her face is young and unscathed, she's no older than 16. While he looks like he's probably in his mid twenties. His body language is showing me that he's comfortable around her and extremely possessive. Her body is telling another story. She looks terrified, her shoulders are almost to her jaw like she's trying to compress herself into nothing, and her face is contorted into an uncomfortable and uneasy look.
"That was good.. original, well thought out, and perfectly executed." I sound calm and confident like I'd hoped.
"Oh you think you're fucking smart, huh?"
He starts walking faster."Just stop alright. Cause I'll fucking kill you."
I put on my best poker face and prayed he would buy it. He laughed. "Kill me? You think you could kill me?" he looked amused and that's when I knew I said the wrong thing.
"Alright." he took of his jacket. "Alright. Lets fucking go." he aggressively pulled his shirt off and started running at me.
That's when I pulled the knife. He was able to stop himself right before he ran into the end. It wasn't a huge knife but I could definitely do some damage with it if I needed to.
"Oh my god! Please don't stab him, we'll leave. Okay? We'll go right now. Come on, Hunter. I'll come back with you. Please." she pleaded but he didn't waver. Come back with you? How sick is this motherfucker?
"What you think I can't take that? I've been shot, alright. I'd eat your little knife." He gave a cocky smile.
"Then eat it."I jammed the knife into his shoulder, not hard enough to really hurt him but no matter how drunk he definitely felt it. He screamed loud. The girl gasped.
"You bitch." he said after glancing at his arm.
I pulled it out.
He screamed in pain, twisting his face into an ugly look. Next thing I knew his arm was cocked back and his hand was flying into my nose. I fell to the ground with a thud."Come on, Katlyn. Let's get the fuck outta here." And I would have let them go. Had she not been staring at me the whole time.
"Hell no." I struggled to get up but I got it. I held the knife harder than I've ever held anything before. Harder than I held the knife at the house, harder than the bottle.
Because now I wasn't just fighting for myself. Now I had some one to help. Someone who needed it."You just don't know when to give up do you?" he turned around to face me.
"I'm not.. letting you." I was tired, that punch had taken a lot out of me and I'm not sure that I could even protect either of us. "Aww, that's sweet. Girls protecting girls huh? Well guess what? She is mine. Alright? So if I want to take her home with me she will go home with me. Okay?" he's speaking to me like I'm a child. "No. She won't." I'm getting heated now. I am not going to sit here and argue. "Yeah? And what are you gonna do to protect her when I leave? This is a man's world sweetheart. If I don't get her someone will." my stomach was turning and my heart felt like it was going to fall out of my ass."Look. I'll be alright, okay? He won't hurt me." God, she is so stupid.
"Look you wanna settle this right now? Let's go." I don't like the look on his face. "Loser walks away with nothing... Winner walks away with her." he gestures to the girl.
Fuck I'm gonna regret this."Alright."
