SMG4: The Vanidicus Arc

Today is the day of SMG6's funeral. The cause of her death is still a mystery as no possible murder weapon has been found.

  SMG4 is uneasy. He still has no answers. He's starting to doubt he'll ever get them. SMG4 hasn't touched the mysterious God Box book since the night SMG6's body was found. The thing has this sort of off aura to it. Like it's cursed to only make things worse.

Mario: "Glitchy?"

Mario knocks on 4's door.

Mario: "You about ready to go?"

SMG4 opens the door.

SMG4: "Yeah... I think I'm ready."

He steps out into the castle's main room. The two leave the castle and go to the funeral home.

  Once at the entrance, Mario notices something. 4 seems really fidgety.

Mario: "You okay?"

He turns to his meme guardian friend.

SMG4: "Y-yeah I'm fine. Can we just get this over with?"

SMG4 doesn't really want to go to this funeral. He barely knew 6. Not to mention the fact that she worked with the one and only Niles and tried to kill SMG4.

Mario: "Hey. Listen to me."

Mario grabs SMG4's shoulder.

Mario: "This is going to be hard for all of us. We may not have known 6 well, but funerals are always kinda gloomy regardless of who they're for... Mario wants you to know something. If you ever need someone, we're all here for you. Okay?"

SMG4 is a little shocked by this speech from Mario. But it's exactly what he needs to hear. SMG4 immediately gives Mario a hug.

SMG4: "Thanks."

The two enter the funeral home.

It's peaceful. Everyone is simply saying their goodbyes and making small talk with each other. No chaotic antics. No demonic entities. (That are alive.) Nothing to worry about. Right? Then why does SMG4 feel off? It's not like SMG6 is gonna jump out of her casket to kill him.

Something about funerals always puts 4 on edge. He still goes to them for some reason. What is that reason again? Oh right to pay respects...

SMG4 approaches the casket. It's closed. Thank god. SMG4 doesn't think he could take it if this was an open casket funeral. 4 sighs and whispers.

SMG4: "I'm sorry for screwing things up... I hope you and Audrey are happy together... wherever you are..."

SMG4 walks away from the casket to go talk to his friends.

First he decides to go talk to SMG3.

SMG4: "Hey, 3. Didn't expect to see you here."
SMG3: "Well it's the responsible thing to do..."
