As the morning sun cast its warm glow upon Nashi's face, her eyes fluttered open, dreading the intrusion of sunlight. The absence of curtains in Mira's bedroom was a bothersome reminder, and Nashi made a mental note to request them once Mira redecorated. Slowly, she sat up in bed, stretching her tired limbs, seeking relief from the stiffness of sleep. With a languid pace, Nashi made her way to the bedroom door, cautiously easing it open to avoid disturbing the still-slumbering girls.

To her surprise, she found both Mira and Lisanna already in the kitchen, preparing a delectable breakfast. The tantalizing aroma of waffles and strawberries wafted through the air, heightening Nashi's anticipation. Waffles held a special place among her favorite breakfast foods, closely followed by a breakfast burrito with a generous dash of Tabasco sauce. Nashi pushed the door wider, stepping into the open space. Lisanna was the first to notice her presence, offering a warm smile. However, Nashi remained silent, still grappling with her discomfort of being in such close proximity to her father's girlfriend. Mira soon caught sight of Nashi and greeted her with her characteristic cheerfulness.

"Good morning, Auntie Mira," Nashi replied, mustering a smile. From the corner of her eye, she noticed Lisanna silently mouthing the words "Auntie Mira?" to her sister. Mirajane simply shrugged it off.

"Nashi, I left your clothes on the couch if you want to get dressed. I washed them last night after you went to bed," Mira informed her kindly. Nashi expressed her gratitude and made her way to the couch, where her outfit awaited her on the armrest. Excusing herself, she hurried off to the bathroom.

Once the door closed behind Nashi, Lisanna fixed her sister with an inquisitive gaze.

"Is it just me, or does Nashi seem to dislike me?" Lisanna asked, raising an eyebrow. Mira chuckled and resumed mixing the waffle batter.

"Oh, Lisanna, I'm sure she's just a bit nervous around you. Give her some time to adjust," Mira reassured her. Lisanna pointed her mixing spoon in the direction Nashi had disappeared.

"She's known me for nearly the same amount of time as she's known you, and she's already calling you Auntie Mira. I swear that child has something against me," Lisanna murmured with a hint of frustration. Mira sighed.

"What could Nashi possibly hold against you?" she pondered, genuinely curious. Lisanna shrugged, unaware of the answer herself.

A few minutes later, Nashi burst out of the bathroom, still clad in the same outfit she had worn for the past few days. However, the salmon-colored ribbon that usually adorned her hair was now clutched tightly in her small fist.

"Auntie Mira, could you please tie this ribbon in my hair?" Nashi pleaded, her eyes wide with a childlike appeal. Mira nodded, setting the mixing bowl on the kitchen counter. Nashi handed her the ribbon and turned around, presenting her hair for Mira to work her magic. With delicate hands, Mira gathered strands of hair from both sides of Nashi's head and secured them with the ribbon, adding a charming touch to her appearance.

"Here you go, sweetie," Mira said, tying the ribbon in Nashi's hair before she made her way to the kitchen table. Nashi patiently waited as Lisanna and Mirajane finished preparing the waffles. Once everything was ready, Mira placed a plate of waffles in front of Nashi, while Lisanna set some strawberries aside. Nashi expressed her gratitude before eagerly diving into her meal. The syrup coated her tongue with its sweet stickiness, eliciting a joyful smile as she savored each bite.

The atmosphere at the breakfast table was more serene than the previous night, with the three girls simply enjoying their meal in comfortable silence. After finishing, Mira took charge of clearing the plates and headed to the sink to wash them.
