Happy unaware of the Pinkette's shortly arcing was currently eating a fish on the capuchin when suddenly Happy jumped at the sudden slam of the door, finding himself mid-bite of a fish on Natsu's couch. Nashi and a unusually grinning Natsu strolled in, and Happy couldn't help but feel validated about Natsu's newfound happiness. A subtle smirk played on Happy's lips as he inquired, "So, had a good time, you two?" Nashi enthusiastically recounted their amusement park adventure, displaying her dragon plushy named Igneel. Happy, glancing at Natsu's blush, giggled while nibbling on his fish. Turning to Natsu, he asked, "Enjoy the day with Nashi, Natsu?" Natsu, a bit embarrassed, admitted, "Yeah, it was fun. You should've joined us, little buddy." Happy shook his head with a knowing grin.
"No doubt, it seems like you both had a great time." Nashi affirmed this, rushing to her hammock to stash her backpack and Igneel. "I'm putting on my pj's, be right back," she announced before disappearing into the bathroom. Alone in the room, Natsu felt uneasy under Happy's peculiar gaze. "What?" he questioned. Happy gestured toward where Nashi went. "She really likes you, Natsu. I'm glad you're giving her a chance." Natsu sighed, flopping onto the couch. "I don't know what it is, but I feel different around her. She has this weird effect on me," he admitted, glancing at Happy, who nodded in understanding. As Nashi returned wearing Natsu's shirt, both guys approached her with smiles. Grasping Igneel, she thanked Natsu, "I had a lot of fun today." Natsu smiled, ruffling her hair in response.
"I did too, Nashi." As he prepared to leave the room, Nashi made another request, "Can you sing me a song?" Happy chuckled at the idea of his partner singing, causing a slight blush to color Natsu's face. "Nashi, I've told you, I'm not much of a singer." Nashi shrugged with a hint of disappointment, "Can't blame me for trying." Natsu turned off the lights, heading towards his bedroom, followed closely by Happy. Inside, as Natsu neatly placed his scarf on the dresser, Happy questioned, "Why not sing for her, Natsu?" Natsu, while changing into pajamas, explained, "I'm just not a singer, Happy. It's not my forte." Happy, unpacking his backpack and vest, asked, "Have you ever given it a shot?" Natsu remained silent. After dressing in pajamas, they settled into their respective beds. Breaking the silence, Natsu admitted, "I tried once. Lucy suggested it." Happy, though hesitant with Lucy being a sensitive topic, was surprised that Natsu continued to share.
"It's really funny when you think of it I was scared that having Nashi around would resurface painful memories of Lucy. Yet, surprisingly, even when it does, it doesn't sting anymore. If anything, it's weirdly comforting to remember," Natsu shared with a content smile, closing his eyes.
Happy gazed at Natsu in astonishment. Natsu had never been this candid about such matters before. Somehow, Nashi was gradually healing Natsu, and Happy, acknowledging the positive change, closed his eyes, surrendering to the embrace of sleep. "Aye, Natsu. It does feel good," he replied.
And thenn....😸🐟
Amidst an endless expanse of fog and darkness, Nashi twirled desperately, searching for any sign of life. A chilling breeze swept past her, sending shivers down her spine. The eerie silence was abruptly shattered by a whispery voice from behind her, whispering her name, "Nashi." The familiarity of the voice sent a shiver of dread through her. She turned to find a ghastly figure a few yards away, a spectral version of her mother, devoid of the usual warmth. Despite the eerie atmosphere, Nashi, desperate for a reunion, cried out, "Mommy?" Tears streamed down her face as she sprinted towards the apparition.
As Nashi closed the distance, her mother's voice took on a haunting tone, and the surrounding darkness morphed into countless arms. A handful of them seized Lucy, pulling her away from Nashi's grasp. Nashi's desperate screams echoed as she fought against the spectral hands, feeling their burning grip on her skin. Helplessly, she witnessed her mother vanish into the abyss, leaving Nashi screaming in horror.
