I put the photo back on the shelf, sighing happily as I recall the memories of when I still saw him. The only time I knew his name was during the fire incident; his name was William. A handsome name for an attractive man, I thought to myself, blushing.
"Big siiiiiiis, where is my boooooook? Stop daydreaming about your prince charming." Luna says, leaning on the door impatiently, waiting for the book she requested to buy.
"Wha- I'm not daydreaming about my prince charming! Here, take your book. It's so heavy and took up most of the space in my luggage!" I throw the book to her
"That's Sherlock Holmes for you! Speaking of Sherlock Holmes.." Luna starts giggling, and her devilish smirk appears.
I raised an eyebrow at Luna, wondering why she was giggling. I then hear someone coming up the stairs, I look over the door, and my eyes widen to see who I saw waiting near the stairs.
"Scarlet, welcome back to home. I missed you." Sherlock says to Scarlet, giving her a bouquet of her favorite flowers. Luna side-eyes both you and Sherlock as she exits the room.
"Mr. Holmes. Thank you for the flowers; I appreciate them" I take them.
"Scar... Please don't be formal with me; you know I feel uncomfortable with it." Sherlock says
"Forgive me, Mr. Holmes... I'm in no position to call you by your nickname." I say to Sherlock as I turn my back on him.
"Please, Scarlet. It's been three years. Please give me a chance to be with you." Sherlock takes my hand, pleading.
"Sherlock, I already gave you my answer. I don't wish to marry you, and that's final." I say, yanking my hand away from his.
"Is there something about me you dislike? Or am I, not your type?" Sherlock says, looking down.
"No, Sherlock. It's none of that. It's simply because I'm waiting for someone else. It's been 16 years since I've seen the love of my life. I wish to wait for them a little longer." I turn back at Sherlock, facing him.
"It's been 16 years, and you think he'll still come for you? If he loves you, where is he?" Sherlock says, snapping angrily at me.
"SHERLOCK HOLMES," I shout from the top of my lungs.
"YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT TO SAY THAT. IF YOU'RE HERE TO SAY HE'LL NEVER COME BACK, THEN GET OUT. I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU, AND I THOUGHT I MADE THAT CLEAR 3 YEARS AGO. I DON'T LOVE YOU, AND I NEVER WILL!!!" I shouted at Sherlock with full rage.
My family heard me say this and gathered below the stairs to see what was happening.
"Scarlet? Sherlock? What's happening up there? Is everything okay?" My mother rushes up to my room with a worried look on her face.
"Mother. Escort Sherlock out. I don't want to see him." I turn my back holding my tears.
"Scarlet, I didn't mean what I sa-" Sherlock gets cut off.
"I SAID GET OUT." I cut Sherlock off
Everyone became shocked and worried as my mother escorted Sherlock out of the house.
Five years ago, it was June when I was invited to have dinner with the Holmes. I tried to look my best because it was one of the first dinners where Sherlock's family was complete. I looked at myself in the mirror, wondering if I looked beautiful; I nodded and went downstairs.
As I went downstairs to wear my shoes and choose my hat and jacket, I saw Sherlock in front of the manor's gate with the carriage he had reserved for me. I admit, my heart did flutter a bit.
"Mother! Father! I'm going with Sherlock now!" I told my parents before leaving.
"Stay out late as best as you can, okay?" Mother said teasingly, making father's eyes widen and shake his hands, making an X.
"Wait before you leave..." Mother gets lipstick out of her pocket and puts some on me.
"There you go! Beautiful! Now stay out late, okay?" Mother says to me for the second time.
"Oh, Mother, It's just a dinner! I'll return home early." I say, chuckling and finally going out
I leave the house and go to the gates, where Sherlock waits for me with the carriage.
"Wow... You look.. beautiful," Sherlock says, mesmerized by Scarlet's beauty.
He then opens the door of the carriage. "Ladies first," he winks at me.
I hop on the carriage first then Sherlock follows. We sit beside each other the whole time, going to the restaurant where we'll have dinner with Sherlock's family.
Minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant. Sherlock hops off and puts out his hand to help me get down. My dress was a bit long; I accidentally tripped on it, making me fall from the carriage's step. Luckily, Sherlock catches me in time.
Our faces were just inches away, and I immediately turned red. I push Sherlock away gently,, looking out.
"Are you okay?" Sherlock asks, trying to look at my face.
"Ah... Y-Yea, I'm fine!" I try my best to avoid him looking at me.
"If you say so, shall we enter?" He extends his arm.
"Oh right, we shall." I hold his arm as we enter the restaurant. My heart skipped a beat the very moment we entered the resturant. Everyone was looking at us as we take our seat in the table.
Watson, Ms. Hudson, Lestrade, and Mycroft joined us for dinner while I was still trying to control this heart of mine from beating too much.
We chatted for sometime until everyone was finished with eating. Sherlock then stands up excusing himself and left.
"Scarlet, could you go with me somewhere? Just real quick!" Ms. Hudson says taking my hands
"Oh sure!" I follow Ms. Hudson as she leads me to a rose petal road.
"What is this place? It looks beautiful" I say but when I turn back Ms. Hudson has disappeared. I look at the rose petal road, I then follow the road wondering to where it'll lead me.
I then end up in a place where the aura in this room is romantic. I suddenly stopped in my tracks knowing what will happen, I started shaking as I move forward to where Sherlock was standing.
"S-Sherlock..."
