As we were walking in the rose garden, we stopped at a small place at the back where it had collections of newborn roses. I became so interested in them, so I let go of William's hand and ran to the fresh born roses with complete curiosity and aw.

"William, look!" I point at the growing flowers with a big smile on my face.

William walked to me to see the growing flowers. With his face inches away from my ear, he speaks.

"Yes, I can see. The roses are gorgeous, just like you." He says, whispering in my ear

"Oh my god," I jump, hearing his deep voice so clear in my ear.

"What is wrong with you?! Why are you so close?!" I shout, almost hitting him.

"You're the one who called me over, so I just went to you; why so shocked? We'll do this often when we get married, so it's best if you get used to it." He says, fixing his tie.

I show my disgusted face and head to other parts of the garden. William chuckles and follows me as if nothing happened.

"William, I have a question. I know this is for the mission because of the request I asked of you, but why do you want to marry me? When I accept your proposal, it feels like you have something else planned for me." I say, stopping in my tracks and looking at him.

"What an interesting question. I thought I've already answered the question of your 16 years ago?" He says, tilting his head with his hand holding his chin.

"What? When? I don't remember such things." I say, thinking about the past.

"Did you not receive the letter I left in the orphanage for you? I left it on the top of the table in the bedroom. I kept the promise of writing to you if I ever get adopted." He says, raising an eyebrow.

I stood there looking so confused; I never knew that William left a letter for me. I never received a letter from him or even a note. I started thinking about when I visited William and was told he was adopted.

"But when I visited you that day, the maid who works for the orphanage told me that there wasn't any note of you saying goodbye or a letter stating where you'll be living," I say, starting to walk again.

"I left you a note on the bedroom table! In that letter I... I confessed my feelings for you." William says, looking down sadly.

"You.. what?" I stop in my tracks once again as I hear this.

"In that letter, I stated that I had feelings for you, and I told you to come visit me in Lord Moriarty's manor so that I can see you again." William walks to me saying this.

"I think I know the reason why."  A voice came from behind both me and William.

We both turn back to see Louis holding an envelope in his hand. Our eyes widen with shock. We, especially William, never would have imagined that Louis kept the letter from 16 years ago.

William had a look of disbelief, and he angrily strode to Louis. He snatched the letter from Louis' hand and checked the content. How he looked at Louis made it evident that it was the letter he wrote for me.

"And why do you have this? I remember leaving it on the table." William says, gripping the letter angrily.

"You think I would let you confess to the woman who had my heart first?" Louis glared at William.

My jaw dropped at what Louis confidently said to his elder brother. Of course, William wasn't happy about this. Between the two siblings, William always spent more time with me than Louis, so I never knew Louis had such feelings.

"Louis... Both of you, stop arguing, please!!" I pushed them away from each other to stop their tension, but William pushed me away and continued.

"What made you even like her? You never even spent time with her, Louis." William continued.

"Yet she never forgot about me; she gave me more attention than she would do to any other kid in the orphanage. Straight from the moment, we met her. You think I wouldn't fall for such sweetness and kindness?" Louis says, gripping William's collar.

"Hah, that's it? How pathetic." William scoffs, provoking Louis.

Albert hears Louis and William shouting, he rushes to the rose garden to find out what's happening. The shouting gets louder and louder as he gets nearer to the rose garden, he bursts the doors of the garden open.

"What is happening here? Louis, let go of your brother! How rare to see you two fighting. What in the world happened here?" Albert separates the two, standing in the middle of them.

"What happened? We have a jealous little rat who betrayed his brother for greed!" William says, gripping the paper and giving Louis an intense stare.

"Traitor? Who's the person who forgot to give the letter to Scarlet?" Louis laughs

"The only reason it wasn't able to give it to her was all because of you! She would already know about my feelings if you hadn't gotten in the way!" William roars at Louis.

"Enough! Both of you!" I shout at them, making everyone rush inside the garden.

"Stop this madness, this instant! You two are being childish; this all happened in the past. You don't need to fight over something so old. It's not worth any of our time." I say, massaging my head.

William and Louis stopped giving each other intense stares and left in the opposite direction. Albert sighs; this was the last thing anyone would ever think they would do. William and Louis are close. One would never expect them to fight like this.

"What in the world happened here?" Sebastian says as he approaches me and Albert. He then looks at William sitting on the bench outside the garden.

"Just a while ago, everything was peaceful. Seeing Louis and William fight means the problem between those two is serious." Fred sighs, looking at Louis staring outside on the other side of the garden.

"Well, the reason why they were fighting was because of a promise 16 years ago. William and Louis promised to write a letter if they ever got adopted so I could visit them in their new home. I didn't know in that letter William confessed his feelings for me. I didn't know as well that Louis had the same feelings towards me. He hid the letter from me when they left the ragged school. William discovered it just now, so obviously, he's angry, and they fought." I explained.

"I see. It's a love triangle!" Sebastian laughs, hitting my shoulder slightly.

"Is this a laughing matter, Moran? We need to find a way to make those two make up and forgive each other. We can't have Louis and William fighting each other like this." Fred says, thinking.

"I may have an idea, but that'll be a bit harsh and hard on the two of them." Albert says, sighing.
