First Day..

The TV was still running, some other show was aired as I awakened and found myself drooling all over the couch leaving wet spots everywhere.
Nice.
This couch holds a memory to me. Back before I began living alone, my mother bought this couch from some lady she knew from somewhere. They were technically best buds. They always went out together and ate at some fancy five-star restaurant. I never understood why they were always together so much, but I guess she resorted to some other person after her divorce with my father.
Don't get me wrong, he wasn't a bad person, but he ticked the hell out of my mom because of his lazy messes he made around the house and him going to out to drink every other weekend with his "buddies." They eventually left him out and weren't truly friends with him. But anyways, enough of that.
I reach for the remote at the end of the coffee table.

"Ugh... come here.." I let out a sigh before the round controller was assigned to my hand.
As I pressed random buttons, since I was tired and not functioning properly, I made the TV bug out and stop working.

"Just great..."

I sat up, itching my head through the jungle of hair that crowned it.
I looked over at my phone and tapped on it, 5 PM.

"Did I really sleep that long?"
.
.
.
About an hour later, I finished getting ready and making myself look... at least presentable. I didn't wanna go out to a job application and immediately get secretly turned downed due to my looks. I didn't want that at all. Just the thought gave me embarrassment.
I had my f/c shirt and black pants (or wear whatever you'd like) that covered down to my ankles. I wasn't really a very showy person and didn't draw much attention to myself due to there being a whole lot of creeps in this small town of Utah.
I also felt like people didn't really wanna be in my life anyways. Wasn't much of a popular girl.
I was the type people didn't necessarily find the interest to talk to me. So ever since school and the adult life, I have never once bothered to make a friend. Totally a waste of time.
———
I grabbed my keys and unlocked the door, getting hit in the face with a cold gust of wind. My car just sat there, unmoving, as I then again, duck-waddled my way through the snow, feeling only a bit of warmth from the soon-to-be gone sun.

My car started up and I turned on the heater. I sorted through the channels before finding my f/b (favorite band). I hummed and pulled out of the driveway, soon finding myself singing.
I looked around everything I drove by, rooftops being covered in snow, children playing snowball fights, and worried couples and teens trying to fix their cars.
.
.
.
After a few minutes, I found this old, creepy...building...
"I think this is it..hopefully.." I mumbled, getting out and adjusting my coat.
I reach the door and open it, not feeling any much warmer.

"This shits cold!"

Taking off my coat, I put it over my shoulder and took a good glance around the area I was in. It looked... exactly like a horror attraction. Creepy, dim, and overall, I felt a bit of bad vibes. I felt as if I was being watched...
———
Lights flickered, making me, I'll be honest, a bit scared. I went down the hallway and found an office, to no surprise, a door that says "MANAGER".
I didn't hesitate. I knocked on that shit.

"Come in.."

The door rattled a little as I twisted the doorknob and opened it. I saw a man, a tired one in fact, sitting at a somewhat unorganized desk. He was looking at his computer, possibly doing business stuff I don't understand.

"Sit."

"S-sure, sorry, ....sir."

He looked at me, his tired eyes and brown, or black hair? I couldn't tell in this lighting.

"The name's Micheal," he said with a slight accent. "...and I would love to know why you applied for this job."
"Well..." I took a deep breath. "I applied for this job because I am broke and got fired at my old job so my boss could save money."

A slight smirk appeared on his lips, almost like he seemed a bit amused.
"Alrighty then.."
He looked at his computer screen for about a minute.
"You're hired."
He leaned back in his chair with his arms crossed behind his head. His fingers twirled his hair around a little before reaching out to a drawer in his desk and pulling out a measuring tape.
He moved out of the chair and made his way to me, taking some of the tape out.
"I'm going to do some measuring, for your work outfit, if that's alright with you,"
"...Yes"
"Great."
His hands went to my chest, wrapping the tape around it and measuring. He did the same for my waist.
"Hmm, one moment."
His gaze left my body as he left the office for a minute. I was left alone to observe all the things in his office that I couldn't do before.
There were children's drawings, some posters, and a few papers on the floor.
———
"Ahh.. yes, here, I found the perfect fit,"
Micheal said, handing me the clothing.
"And please, don't get any stains on it or ruin it with some cheeto dust..." He said slightly annoyed, as if it happened once, which honestly, it's pretty funny to think about.

"So let me guess, it happened before, yes?" I snickered quietly. "Some guy sitting there and getting everything he touched greasy?"

"Heh, and it was a PAIN to get rid of. I had to swear that kid out of here. He was quite disgusting." Micheal chuckled as he turned around towards the wall like some evil villain talking to its low-leveled minion.

"Ever since then, I've been a little picky about who I hire... nasty pricks."
He shot a look over me, sighing.
"Well anyways, you start your first shift today and lucky for you, we got about ten minutes to show you the basics around here."

He grabbed my hand and led me to the security room.
———

"And don't forget everything I've told you, you'll need it. You won't be the only here tonight. Shift ends at 6 AM. Sharp. No later than that. And also, if it makes you feel a bit better, I found this plushie in some old box here." He handed me a nice yellow-golden bunny plush.

Can't deny, it was adorable.

I gazed at it before looking up to say thank you, but Micheal was nowhere to be seen.
Where the hell did he go?
I turned my head towards the chair and sat down, trying to ignore the sudden disappearance of him.

"All I have to do is reboot everything and wow- free money! —For doing nothing, isn't that right, bunny?"
I looked down at it, feeling it's eye pierce into my soul.
"Oh well"
Saddened as it couldn't talk, I gripped it a bit tighter and began to doze off.
———
I woke up, and looked around. The room flashing red. I noticed the plush was gone.
"Huh...?"
"Shit!"
My body jerked up, my heart pounding as I moved over to the maintenance panel and clicked 'reboot all'.
I caught my breath as the ventilation fixed itself.
Shortly after, my eye was drawn to the desk in front of me, so I slid over on my chair to investigate.
"Aww, I remember these guys," I mumbled to myself, feeling a sense of paranoia. "You were my favorite, especially, Bonnie."
I picked up the Bonnie figure and looked at it. It fit perfectly into my hand.
After inspecting the details on it, I sat it down.
There was a trash can and a box of props that sat next to it. I didn't dare to really touch anything that belonged there, probably something I'd get in trouble for messing with.
I slid back to my place, doing a little spin with the chair...immediately stopping.

"...?"

I swear I saw something, no, someone, pass by the office.
But the more I think about it, the more I assured myself it's probably Micheal checking in. That made me get a huge relief off my mind.
But what's even better is that it is now 6 AM.
I got up and neatly organized anything that looked slightly out of place.
Doing a little cheer to myself, I walked out, thinking...

"This is the easiest job in the world!"
