A New Face

...As I covered from the horrid smell, I looked inside one of the boxes, more parts and tapes.
Stuff I didn't understand.
I grabbed sone out and observed it...

My heart raced.

There was another person's shadow behind me...

The tape dropped.

——————

Metal feet stood behind me.

I slowly looked back up towards the boxes that rested against the wall.

REALLY wishing I was a box right now...

Hot breath brushed against my neck, making me shiver.
I turned around, gazing upon the rabbit that stood up, towering over me.
I swore I felt my eyes pop out of my head in shock. The thing was humongous, reaching to be about 7 or 8 ft. He was worn, holes covering his body from head to toe...

"W-what the fu- mMh!?-"

In a swift motion, the rabbit grabbed ahold of my mouth, pushing me against the boxes, but not stopping the force my head suffered when it clashed with the wall.

The damn rabbit made my head grow a whole new heart..

..and it pulsed with pain.

"Ahh! S-stop!.." I screamed, wrapping my hands around its wrist and pushing it away, at least trying to.

"A new face, somebody decided to finally pay me a visit..."
He laughed, his grip on my face tightening even more.

"S-"
"TELL ME WHY YOU'RE HERE!"
He roared, moving his face ever-so-closer to mine.

I could smell his breath, I think, it was a terrible scent.
I gagged. Right in front of him.
He stopped. Moving his face closer to mine.
"Deal with it."
He threw me down onto the ground before getting on top of me and holding me captive in his grip.

"I'm not asking again, TELL me WHY you're here..." He growled.

"I was curious... you bitch!"
I kicked him near a part any guy would rather take the chance of cutting their finger off. He grunted and let go, grabbing ahold of himself.

"CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT!" Maniacal laughter traveled through the halls as I ran, trying to find the safety room.

Suddenly, I stopped for a second or two. I was freaking out. I forced myself to keep running, eventually finding the office and closing the doors, well... most of them.

"But satisfaction brought it back~.." I huffed under my breath.
I was exhausted.
That adrenaline I had earlier? Oh yeah, it's gone.
Now I'm stuck here with shaky legs and a heavy breath.
I felt like all my questions were answered, I finally found out what 'it' was and why Micheal wanted to seal away the room...
.
.
.
There was a beast within those walls.
———

I sat there. My eyes scanning the room constantly. I was in pure fear. Pure fear that thing would find me. I picked up the guitar prop and put on the toy Bonnie mask.

"I am NOT afraid of you!!"

My voice echoed through the office as I swished the guitar around like a sword.

"TRY ME!!"

I turned my body the other way, sticking out the prop.

There was silence as I continued to let out threats, thinking it could scare the thing away.
And indeed... it worked!

"That does it."

I paused, lifting the mask from my face and looking around.

"Micheal...?"
"Surprise, it's 6:16 AM in the morning. Aren't you suppose to be gone by now?"
"Uhh... I can explain..!"

He put his hands on his hips and thought for a minute. Sighing, he turned around, telling me to follow him to his office for a little... "discussion".
.
.
.
"So would you mind to tell me why you were messing with..." He paused for a moment.

"..these?"

He held up the props before setting them down and changing into a what I like to call, and 'interviewer principal', you know, when principals start questioning you for something you know you did wrong...

I looked at him. Completely lost on what I was gonna say.
What is my response to that?
How was I was suppose to tell him about the hidden room and the... thing that roams it.
As for what he's written in that file, I could seriously put my job at risk...

"Helloooo...earth to Y/N," Micheal waved his hand around my face. "You alright?"

I snapped out of it.

"Oh. Yes... yes, I am. I'm fine. Totally good!"

Smiling, I stuck my thumbs up, feeling like a child microwaving their food at 3 AM in the morning on a school night.

He leaned back in his seat, like he always does, yawning.

"Anywho, I thought it out. It doesn't really matter much in the end, anyways."
"So you're letting me go?"
"Hmm.. not without some consequence," Micheal looked over at his computer and then back at me.
"You're cleaning the men's restroom, starting tomorrow. After your shift."
"Will you be there tomorrow with me?"
"No," He coughed into his hand. "Tomorrow I'm off."
"Why?"
"Not feeling well."

I was desperate for him to be with me, so I wouldn't get in trouble with that animatronic again...
However, on the other hand... if I tell him, I'll lose my job... and get evicted.

I heard a few coughs from Micheal again as he turned everything on his desk off before handing me a few sheets.

"These are the instructions for tomorrow. If you forget, which you shouldn't, look here. I'm not pickin' up phone calls so I won't be available. There are cleaning supplies in the closet down the hall. I just got them today before I caught you doing... whatever you were doing," His face seemed full of secondhand embarrassment.
"Also, there are a few pizzas you can bake in the kitchen... don't worry, I cleaned out everything, just the outside looks untrusting!"

"That's it?"
"Yes, and also— stay off your phone. Stay focused."

No joke, I was slightly annoyed. I loved my phone to death. It had all my I needed. Emergency services, stories, cell numbers, games, oh my I could go and on with this amazing tech.
But remembering that thing from earlier, I think I'd listen to Micheal.

"AI'm heading out, now. Get plenty of rest for... later. You'll need it!"
He gave me a soft wink before walking out.
I still sat there, listening to the sounds of his car leaving...

I don't wanna leave this place just yet.
