A Compromise

He gave me a soft wink before walking out.
I still sat there, listening to the sounds of his car leaving...

I don't wanna leave this place just yet.

It was around 7 AM that I decided to finally go to the kitchen. Paranoid thoughts of that thing lingered on like a leech.
I had found that broom from a while back and held it close to me, using it for defense.
Better than nothing, right?

Looking around, I saw the entrance to the kitchen area. They let out a loud creak...

I'm hoping to god it didn't hear that...

The tiles were cubed and were of the colors of black and white. Pretty basic pizza tiles, that's for sure.
A big boxy refrigerator was right in my reach. It was pretty worn, but when I opened it, it looked brand new. As if nobody would've knew that this was probably covered in some shit once.
Pizza, chocolate ice cream, soda, there was all types of basic food you'd find at some pizzeria. I mean, obviously, maybe this place used to be one.
I took out the pizza and placed some on a plate, sticking it in the old microwave.
Tension grew intensely. This microwave had to be the loudest damn electronic that ever laid it's existence on planet earth.

"Shut up.."

I looked around anxiously, hoping that thing didn't get a clue to where I was, yet.
Yes, I know I've mentioned that so many times, but that's only realistic to be in fear constantly about something that could... do things to you.

Things that probably-

BEEP BEEP BEEEEE-

I freaked.

That thing is gonna get me!

Quivering, my heart getting heavy— I began pushing random buttons on the microwave.

"Fuck! Fuck!"

This brilliant idea crossed my mind...
I unplugged the cord. It turned completely off.
No more giving away or annoying beeps, just silence and a heart drumming to the pressure.

I laid my head on top of the counter, sucking in a huge relief.

I think I'll just have ice cream next time.

Definitely will.

I straightened myself up, grabbing the plate out.

Not gonna lie, but this actually looked like a gift from god himself.
The way the pasta was even, the crust was stuffed, dripping in cheese, the (any topping) looked so shiny. The aroma snaked it's way up my nose making my stomach growl.

Everything left my mind. All the danger and anger, it was abandoned.
I left the kitchen quickly, sitting out in the dining area, wanting a taste of the pizza so badly.
Since the it was hot, I blew on it for a bit.
And then it was ready to be eaten.
To be stuffed into me.

I grabbed it by the crust and lifted the slice above me, munching down on every bite.
And by time I finished, I felt a bit sleepy.
I rested my head on my arms...

My body instinctively turned towards the loud clash of sounds.

Great. Just when I was about to nap!

I got up and went down the hall to investigate...

Props were knocked over and the office... Michael's office, was destroyed.

I looked at the mess, in shock. How was I going to explain this to him?

Kneeling down, I began to pick up all the papers that were scattered on the floor before nearly setting them on his desk.
His computer, however, was broken. It seems to be torn...
The screen was cracked and scratches were deeply imbedded into it.
There was no salvaging it.

At least the keyboard is a-ok.

"Follow me..."

I looked over my shoulder, noticing the piercing eyes staring down at my form.

"Follow... you?"

It was that rodent.

"Follow me." It's voice grew more demanding.

I shook my head no.

"No, I- I don't think I will..."

It slowly moved to me, seeming to be careful with its steps.

Time seemed to slow down and I took the moment to analyze him.
He was fleshy, organs hugging around his exoskeleton. Mold and blood stains covered his suit, no wonder he smells awful...

"What the fuck are you..." I mumbled with disgust.

Its eyelids relaxed, looking annoyed.

"Why can't you kids ever listen..." He grabbed my hair, dragging me to the parts and services.

"Ow! Let go of my hair!"

"No." He pulled a little harder, making me wince.

"I want you to do something for me,"
"After you literally tried to kill me a while back?!" I snapped at him.
"I don't care. That's in the past."
"Past my ass..." I groaned.
"You see this here?" The rabbit pointed towards another suit, one that looked like his, but nicer and less torn.
"Nope."
"Well I need you to help me get into that suit."
"Do it yourself," I looked up at him. "Not touching you."

He sighed.
"Well let's make a compromise.. yes?"

I didn't answer.

"You help me, and I don't kill you. If you don't help me, well, oh no, dead." He mimicked a knife cutting his throat.

My life depends on a simple three-lettered word...

"So?"
