Chapter 2

Mino just sat himself down on the bench outside the rink. He took a bottle of water from his gym bag and drank it immediately.

“Fyuuh, this is crazy!” Kim Kyungnam followed Mino to sit on the bench. He rushed to reach his bag and grabbed a towel to wipe his sweat. “I thought, we will just play here. But in fact, they are killing us slowly.” Kyungnam muttered his complaint again with his breath coming out one by one.

Mino didn’t answer. He was also feeling out of breath. He and the cast of Dancing with The Stars just did their first rehearsal for the upcoming exhibition performance on the first episode of that program.

They planned to perform two different rounds for the first episode, first was the opening exhibition performance in which all the celebrities and the professional skater would skate together with Kim Yuna and second was the celebrities would perform a maximum two minutes ice dancing performance with each partner.

They just learned the choreography for the opening performance. But that was really not an easy work. How could it be easy work if balancing and doing single skates and gliding on the ice was already not so easy for many of them?

Mino used to learn how to ice-skate when he was very young but that didn't help much. He was just like Kyungnam, Jaehyun –the celebrity chef–, and a few of the celebrity cast who struggled to keep their balance and had fallen on the ice many times.

“Mino Oppa, annyeong haseyo.”

A girl approached them and greeted Mino and nodded a little to Kyungnam. She was Minzy, a member of girl group Lady A, who also participated in Dancing with The Star program.

“Eoh, annyeong Minzy-ya,” Mino greeted her back, “How was the rehearsal? You look pretty good at ice-skating. You didn’t fall like us at all.”

Minzy smiled a little, her face lit up and her cheeks looked blushed. “Ne, Oppa, gomawo. I used to ice-skate until before I debuted.” She then handed out a paper bag to Mino, “Oppa, this is for you.”

Mino raised his eyebrows. He slightly glanced at Kyungnam with the corner of his eyes and watched Kyungnam just shrugged with a little smirk. “What is this, Minzy-ya?”

Minzy shrugged a little, a little smile on her face, “I don't know. Yuji eonni just told me to give it to you. She said ‘Hope you enjoy it’.” Minzy rocked the paper bag a little and gave a sign with her eyes because Mino hadn't reached to grab it yet.

Mino then grabbed the bag from Minzy’s hand, “Gomawo,”

“Ne, Oppa.” Minzy nodded and then excused herself.

Mino peeked to the inside of the bag. That was sandwiches, coffee, and carbonated water. Mino took off the iced-americano from the back and there was a letter on the cup sleeve. It said ‘Mino Oppa fighting!’ with a smile emoticon after the sentence and a heart icon with initial YJ on the second line.

Mino sighed. This Yuji Bae was still trying her luck.

“I thought, you both are just a dream couple by fans. But apparently not.” Kyungnam commented after peeking on the letter on the cup sleeve.
