Day after day, Mikey's routine was the same. Dealing with drugs, trading illegal weapons, art; whatever his gang can use, people included. Not to mention his mild struggles with the police, which are more like a headache than an actual problem. Nonetheless, there was something else stepping in his way without shame or regret; another group that was formed several years ago it's the reason why many of his contracts ended up in failure.

The Black Dragon are not a joke. Just like them, they make deals with dangerous people around the whole world. Some said they're untouchable because the places in which they do their deeds are very risky, as if they don't care of being spotted. Perhaps that's what they want, in any case, it only shows how wrecked their minds are. It's kind of funny, ironic as others may have said, how a gang that was formed with the best intentions has ended up being completely the opposite; that also applies to Mikey's gang.

Their similarities do not encapsules just their original intentions though; they cared about every single one of their members, they didn't involve people that weren't related to their group because it was the right thing. Why does someone else have to pay for the crimes another person committed? A noble statement that was left in the past as the years went by. Nowadays such a thing doesn't exist anymore, with the exception of the top executives who had been together since the beginning.

One could think that Black Dragon and Tokyo Manji would have joined forces due to their roots. Shinichiro Sano, former leader of BD, Mikey's older brother, died in a terrible crash when Manjiro was around twelve years old. People expected him to take control of his gang after that, but they were wrong. Izana Kurokawa, his adopted sibling that used to live with them until Shinichiro's death, took it as his own. Things started to go wrong later on.

Izana's mourns were violent, exploding at the minimal comment that would be linked to the person who used to guide him, the very first one who didn't turn his back. Even after knowing they weren't blood-related, Shinichiro never treated him differently. With him gone, nothing mattered for him. Closed in his shell of pain and hate towards the drunk driver who also died in the accident he caused; Kurokawa's mental health reached the point of no return. Regardless of it, Black Dragon and Toman never clashed against each other. Maybe he still had some screws attached to his brain; or maybe he just didn't want to cause Emma another pain. Whatever it was, it worked to keep things peacefully between them. At least for some time.

A couple of years later, there was an inevitable fight starting to form. It was something that was born out of two of their top members; two brothers that happened to be in each of their gangs respectively. Neither of them intended to intervene; family affairs were a thing they should resolve on their own, at home, and keeping the names of their groups at bay. The problems grew, tension as well. Day after day, it was clear that a crack was opening its way to disturb the relatively peaceful times they had. Then, the date was settled to be on a Holy Night. A one versus one combat that was supposed to prevent any uproar to occur again once and for all.

The date arrived; inside of a cathedral, much to Mikey's indifference. His vice-captain of the second division entered the place alone; Mitsuya tried to join him, but the taller guy rejected. There was absolute silence. A pair of Black Dragon's captains made their way paying no heed to Mikey's complaints, saying that they were just there to inform Izana the results of the fight. Around half an hour passed, and Hakkai stepped out of the church; his face and uniform were untainted with blood or bruises.
