Chapter 21

"Hey Man!" John hugged him as he came out with his luggages.

"This feel like ages ago" Karan said as he hugged him.

Karan & John had first met when they worked part time. Even though John was 7 years elder than Karan, They had clicked well.

"Did you had Dinner?" John asked as they climbed in his jeep. To which Karan shaked his head.

"Good! Ma had prepared a gourmet for you" John replied as he drove towards his home.

"How is your work going?" Karan asked him.

"It is good! Hired more employees in these past years" John answered.

John owned his own Law firm. When Karan & John met, the latter was doing  phd in law - LLD! Suddenly losing his job, John had done part time while studying.

"How is Abeni?" Karan teased him.

"Well well All good! Currently expecting my first kid" John told him smiling huge.

"Ohhh congrats man" Karan fist bumped him.

"So? Who is this girl, who stole your heart?" John asked curiously as he stopped to fill fuel.

Karan smiled. "Will you believe if i say who it is?" He asked.

"Why shouldnt I?" John asked confused.

"Then... there she is" Karan showed Preeta who was on the big LED advertisement board!

John gave him a glare, "Cant you ever be serious?" He asked.

"Am serious" Karan said in a serious tone.

"No... no man..Really?...No way" John stuttered surprised.

Karan nodded at him,

"I didnt knew, who she was when i met her..A lot happened man! It was on the day of their Concert i knew who she actually was!" Karan told him, as he showed Preeta & Karan's old photos.

"Wow.. she is soo gorgeous" John said seeing Preeta in normal indian wear without an ounce of make up!

"So.. You are going to be playing it down?" He asked looking at Karan.

"Yeah.. Its better that way for now!"
Karan smiled as he caressed her photo.

"Hmm.. I would also suggest to keep it low" John told him seriously knowing how a great friendship can lead to astray all thanks to rumours & gossips.

John's mother Amelia was waiting for the boys at front when they reached. She loved Karan... whenever there is a match in which Karan was playing, she always watched it.

"So what is the update?" Karan asked sipping his beer with John.

They were currently overlooking the city as the drank. Karan was hopped on the bonet.

"My guess was right! We excavated the land & it indeed contained it" John said looking at the stars.

"So? what is the next step? We go for it?" Karan asked leaning back.

"Yep.. I know you want it to be all legal! But taking that route wouldnt get us anywhere... The first smell of this news would reach others, It will be a death play" John told him the truth.

"So what do you suggest?" Karan asked him.

"Fyodor will be our first client! He is someone who would seal his lips" John answered.

"Fyodor?" He asked back.

"Hmm.. He is a man of few words. Our work will be easy then! He is the main supplier from here" John told more about the guy.
