Shortly after the van with Kenji in it left, Amon found himself questioning the transfer. It just seemed so hurried, but Kenji was a very dangerous ghoul, plus he was in a weak state. Anyone would hurry if they had such an opportunity. Amon brushed the questions off. He was on his way back to the CCG.

He arrived at the entrance soon enough. When Amon entered the building he could see Shinohara and Suzuya. Judging from their body movement, they were arguing.

"What could they be arguing about?" Amon thought, just as Suzuya left. He didn't look too happy.

Amon approached Shinohara, who sighed. He soon spotted Amon, who had a curious face.

"Amon. How did the transfer go? It was quite hurried, but still." Shinohara beat Amon to start the conversation.

"It was fine, he was very cooperative. Rambling stuff too." Amon answered, thinking about what Kenji said. If you don't be careful, she'll see. Once she does, you'll see what happens.

Amon didn't understand, but assumed it was just rambling.

"Ah, I see. That's good, he's usually pretty wild, right?" Shinohara nodded. "Anyway, do you plan on reading the book?"

"The one he wrote?"

"Yeah, of course. Nonetheless, it's a book that's been selling pretty good, even after the company found out that he was a ghoul. I've read a bit of it, and it's quite good."

"But still, Amei's in the book..."

"Actually the character is quite different, but the death of her sister is real."

They already knew, as they were notified.

Shinohara was going to continue, but they were interrupted.

"Uh, Special Class Investigator Shinohara, Associate Special Class Suzuya just left the building."

"What?! Is he seriously- Sorry, Amon, I have to go."

Shinohara left with no other word, leaving Amon.

"I wonder what Suzuya is doing, leaving..." Amon wondered, also giving the book a thought. Perhaps he should read it. He took the elevator up and walked to his office. Seido was no where to be seen.

Amon sat down, looking at the plastic wrapped book on his desk.

"S-so Kenji isn't a ghoul?" Kaneki had a hard time believing what the woman in front of him just said. He remembered that Nishiki didn't really see him as a ghoul, as Kenji could deform. It was very different from the average ghoul. Oh yeah, what happened with Kimi?

Kaneki brushed it aside for now.

"Is he..." Kaneki couldn't complete his sentence.

"Kenji isn't a ghoul... To some extent. I'm sure you've noticed that he is a bit insane..." Amei took a breath to continue, but Hide interrupted.

"Yeah, I can hear it's some revealing stuff you're talking about, but could we please first get out from here?" Hide pulled on Kaneki's shoulder. "I'm beginning to feel a bit uneasy."

Kaneki realized, that he haven't really seen Hide uneasy, since he always had a smile on his face.

"Mhm, yeah... Amei, let's talk above ground instead." Kaneki suggested, and Amei agreed.

Kaneki spotted Tokube trying to reach out to him. He let her crawl onto his hand and up to his ear.

"Wow. You two sure have become close." Amei commented, eyes glued on Tokube as she disappeared into Kaneki's ear. "Isn't it weird, having a centipede in your ear?"
