>This chapter will be written a bit differently and is much more fluffy! I just wanted something happy after the Mikey incident...<
Soap, Gaz, Roach, Price and even Ghost piled into the van, fighting over seats. Eventually, they managed to position themselves.
Ghost Price
Gaz Roach
Soap OtterPrice drove quickly to the nearest petshop, pulling in near the front and letting everyone out. Otter stuck near Soaps side despite having no collar, but just incase she had Roach on her otherside and Gaz behind her. Ghost kept his distance, as usual.
"So what does a dog need?" Price began as they walked into the shop. It was huge, and luckily enough the army was funding the whole trip due to it being 'training'.
"She needs a collar." Gaz piped up, noticing the odd looks from workers.
The group made their way over to the collars before picking out a thick green tartan one. They then made their way to a nametag printer and got 'Otter' printed on a fish shaped tag. They quickly paid for it before Soap slipped it on her and pocketed the reciept to continue shopping.
"We need food, bowls, toys, a bed.. jeez dogs need a lot." Price muttered, looking up from his phone.
"Just grab some kibble." Ghost said, pointing to the bag of 'Puppy Chow'.
"Oh no, nonono," Soap tutted, stepping away from it, "only the best for my girl. She's getting rawfeed."
"Rawfeed?" Gaz asked, "Like, meat and shit?"
Price shot him a glare for swearing before Soap nodded, filling the trolley they had grabbed with selections of frozen raw feed, natural treats and puppy kibble, along with bone broth and some supplements.
The group wandered over to the next section, beds. "Whose picking?" Asked Soap, and Roach lifted his hand like a little kid, giddy about the new dog. Soap gestured towards the wall of beds and Otter quickly trotted over to Roach to inspect the beds.
In the short time she'd been there, Otter had grown rather fond of Roach. He didn't talk much, but he was kind and smelt nice. The two made their way through beds, Roach bringing one to Otter and just knowing when she'd not like it. Eventually the pair settled on a fluffy grey bed, one far too large for her but would easily fit her once she grew up. Once they chucked it into the trolley (being pushed by Price) they all made their way to the bowl section, grabbing two matching ceramic bowls.
Otter ran ahead when they got to the toy section, her tail wagging like mad as she looked back at Soap for permission. He nodded his head and she dove in headfirst to a pile of soft toys. She grabbed a small duck toy, a rope, a ball and a squeaky hippo, putting them in a small pile. Gaz wandered over and put them all in the trolley, grabbing some other toys and chucking them in too. He gently rubbed Otters head and followed her to the next isle, which happened to be treats.
It was Prices turn now, and he was sparing nothing. At least two packets of every single treat was in the trolley, showing he did in fact have a soft spot for the canine, along with snuffle matts and kongs. Jars of peanut butter, dog friendly chocolate, dehydrated animal feet, all of it was going in. He only stopped when he felt multiple pairs of eyes on him, "What? She needs them for training."
Ghost was the one who pointed out she aught to have a lead and a harness, both for training and just for walking. Therefore he had the privellage of picking them out. He went for a camo green vest with places for patches, picking out a british flag patch and a fish one from the wall, before he grabbed a lead to match her collar and a bandana that had small skulls on it. Which evolved into Soap grabbing one with the scottish flag, Roach getting one with bugs, Price grabbing one with fish on it and Gaz grabbing a football themed one.
"Shit." Soap said, looking around. "Where's she gone?"
The group had all been caught up in picking accessories that they hadn't noticed Otter wandering off. Within a second, the group split to look for her, but subtly as to not alert any workers. It was Roach who found her. She was sat on a small stool next to a worker, watching him feed the fish. It gave Roach an idea..

After the shopping trip, Soap was left in charge of getting Otters room ready. Of course she wouldn't have an entire room, but there was a large cupboard next to Soap's room she'd stay in.
He made quick work of it, clearing everything out, removing the door (which was already significantly shorter than the rest of the doors in the base), putting up a curtain, hoovering and placing down a rug. He put her siblings collars, her mothers collar and the old toy he'd found her with on the top shelf along with framed pictures of the task force on the lower ones, including one they'd taken when they got back to base of the group surrounding Otter.
Soap tucked her crate into the corner, pinning the door open and placing in some pillows and a blanket. He pinned up some string lights, her bed and finally, a box for her toys. It looked adorable, in all honesty, and he was proud of his work. From behind him, he could hear two sets of feet. One belonged to Ghost and the other Roach.
Ghost handed him a sign, it had Otters name in cursive and was in the shape of a fish, light orange in colour. Soap grinned before nailing it above the door.
Then Roach stepped forward, handing him a small box. Soap opened it and pulled out a small rectangular fishtank, completely decorated and already having the light and heater installed. He thanked Roach before placing it on the lowest shelf, only just noticing the small school of fish swimming around inside.Price rounded the corner, leaning over to cover Otters eyes as he led her towards her room. "Is it all done, Soap?"
"All good cap, let her see!"
And with that, Price uncovered her eyes.
