Kenny POV

The cold air brushed past my bare arms as I walked a now very tired Marjorine to the little gingers house. My coat was tightly wrapped around Marjorines shoulders but the cold didn't bother me as long as she was warm I walked up the small steps leading to dougies house but the door swung open before I had time to knock my fist against it.

A short, freckley ginger boy stood looking up at me with an unamused look on his face.

"Mar- Butters had a Sensory Overload-" I started before Dougie ushered us into the house, closing the door behind us, shivering as the cold air rushed past his face
"Yeah I know get him up to bed" the boy muttered, surprisingly used to this situation.

I often brought Marj over to dougies when she couldn't stay with me or her family.

I lightly grabbed her wrist, leading her towards dougies bedroom and pulling the duvet to the end of the bed before throwing it back over her as she lay down on the soft memory foam mattress.
"Where's your phone?" I asked, sitting down on the bed beside her legs. She shuffled around in bed and pulled her phone out of her pocket, presenting it to me. I took it and stood up to leave the room.
"Thanks Ken" she whispered, causing the corners of my mouth to twitch into a smile as I turned the lights off and pulled the door shut gently after me.

I made my way down the stairs and thanked Dougie for letting us stay the night. He nodded absentmindedly as he flicked through the TV channels, finally settling for Terrence and Phillip.

I pulled out Marj's phone and typed in her lengthy password before pulling up her messages and shooting off a quick apology to her parents and informing them that she'd be at Dougies for the night. I didn't want her getting grounded again. I sat myself down on the couch, glancing out the window as the sun set over the mountains.

We sat in a comfortable silence for what felt like hours until Dougies Mother came sauntering down the stairs.
"Doug, time for bed- oh hello Kenneth!" She beamed as she saw me. I flashed a smile in her direction before standing up and making my way towards the bedroom.

I creaked the door open slightly and peeked in, watching the light from the hallway spill in and light up Marjorines golden locks which fell down gracefully onto the Terrance and Phillip pillow that her head rested on. I let a smile creep onto my face as I snuck in, closing the door after me and making my way towards the sleeping girl.

I sat down and put my hand on hers which was resting on the mattress. The heat from her hand immediately warmed up my icy cold one's and I let the tingle of warmth run up my arms and into my chest. I felt the strange urge to brush the locks of hair that were resting on her forehead away so I could take in the full view of her peaceful face.

I was interrupted as a small ginger skipping into the room slamming his door closed with a smash and flicking the lights on. I flinched as the orange light met with my eyes and shushed him pointing towards the sleeping girl beside me.

"Sorry!" Dougie whispered before making his way over to his wardrobe to pull out sleeping bag. I went to roll it out and lay down when he interrupted me.
"Take the bed dude it's fine" he smiled at me. I smiled and nodded in response before dumping my parka and shoes on the floor and shuffling into the bed beside Marjorine. I poked her arm, causing her to roll over and give me enough room to squeeze in comfortably next to her. My eyelids grew heavy the moment my head hit the pillow as the tiredness from the day returned to me and I let my mind wander as I drifted off into one of the first restful sleeps in years.
