3rd person:

It had been a couple of weeks since (Y/N) and her younger siblings had arrived in Gravity Falls. During their stay, the siblings had witnessed a menagerie of strange things. Here are a few that have happened since the gnome incident.

The hunt for strange creature called a Gobblewonker in the lake. Turns out it ended up being the town's local kook, McGucket, trying to get his son's attention by building a Gobblewonker robot.

Next was a murder mystery of the wax replica of Stan. The suspects turned out to be the other wax figures of the museum that were haunted. Leave it to Stan to buy haunted items.

Then there was Gideon. (Y/N) has never wanted to drop kick a child more. Gideon was a child psychic who gained an obsession with Mabel and wouldn't leave her alone. Not to mention, he later tried to kill Dipper! So yes, (Y/N)'s bloodlust for this guy was extremely high for messing with both her younger siblings.

Since their stay here, Dipper had gained a crush on Wendy. Wendy was a teenage girl that Stan had hired and she was pretty cool. In an attempt to impress her, the Pines siblings joined Wendy and her friends in breaking into an abandoned convivence store. Surprise, surprise, it was haunted! And the ghosts hated teenagers! To calm their angry and release everyone, Dipper performed a dance he hadn't done since he was a toddler.

And finally, Dipper found these minotaur creatures that were obsessed with being manly. Toxically obsessed. (Y/N) wasn't too sure of the details since she had been spending the day with Preston during this time. Here's how it went.

"So why are we looking at all these books on paranormal scientific studies?" Preston asked as the two were tucked away in a corner of the library with a couple stacks of books around them.

Like the last time they were in the library, Preston had his hoodie covering his head. (Y/N) had taken notice that whenever they were in the library, it seemed like he was trying to hide his identity. Despite them knowing each other since her first day in town, there was still so much (Y/N) didn't know about Preston. Just add it to her list of mysteries she's already looking into in this town.

"Just some research I was curious about," she responded. She wanted to tell him about all the weird stuff but the three siblings had a pact. Tell no one outside of these situations about what happens. Dipper came up with the idea because of this one phrase in his journal.

Trust no one.

While Preston was keeping his secrets, he also noticed that (Y/N) seemed to be hiding something. He's had an inkling since the day before he showed her around town. There were certain questions she either dodged or gave vague answers to.

"Well if you're interested in this stuff, there's this YouTube channel that does exactly that. It's called 'Thought Potato'. I found him about a month ago. He talks about the science behind things like vampirism and zombism," he told her as he kept his eyes on the book.

(A/N: I actually just found him today so if you are curious about this stuff, go check him out)

"Cool. Send me the link later in case I forget."

As the two continued to read, Preston felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He pulled it out and paled at the message.

Pacifica: You know those guys you were friends with? They blabbed to their parents finally about you ending the friendship. Then they told mom and dad. They're furious. I'd stay hidden for a little while if I were you.

'Shit. They finally grew some balls and tattled.'

"Something wrong? You look a little freaked out," (Y/N) asked as she looked at him.
