ELIANNA SAT IN the passenger seat of her mothers' car with her head sat against the window as she watched people begin to light their candles and write meaningful messages on pieces of paper that read 'Notti'.

she let out a sigh as her mother put her hand on her daughters arm and began to caress it in attempt to comfort her, "you okay?" the older woman asked, but she already knew the answer.

of course she wasn't okay, she had just lost her boyfriend.

she only asked because as a mother, she wanted to hear that she was okay and not know that she was hurting because it would hurt her too.

"i'm okay ma." she muttered quietly.

Elianna lifted her head from the window before unbuckling her seatbelt and picking up the flowers, candle and teddy bear she had gotten for Notti.

"Ellie look at me," the mother ordered, Elianna turned around to her mother with a blank expression on her face.

the older woman's eyebrows saddened as she analysed her daughters face. Elianna's eyes were slightly red as she also had eye bags forming under her eyes that made it look like she hadn't slept in days, she looked so tired which she really was.

Elianna had barely slept in the past 5 days, she had tried so hard to at least get a few hours of sleep in but nothing worked because she had way too much on her mind.

she would spend hours staying up by herself as the last day she saw Notti replayed in her mind. she could remember how happy she was before he had left her to go out, it scared her how sudden everything happened.

"are you sure your okay, you look so tired baby." Zoela, the girls' mother said.

Elianna nodded at her mothers' question, she was thankful that her mom cared but she just wanted to be left alone.
