"Oh my god you guys...you see that guy over there who looks like he went down on a lawn mower..." Yasmin says, disgust panted across her face "he's literally wearing the ugliest sweater I've ever seen..." Yasmin finishes.
You follow Yasmin's stare, your face automatically drops as you watch Eli sink into his seat, covering his lip with his hand as his eyes make contact with yours. You look down, cowardly picking at the food on your tray.
You watched as Moon and Sam laughed at Yasmin's comment "that is so wrong" Sam laughs.
"Speaking of wrong check out fuglisha... she looks like she ate a picnic table" Yasmin says as she fake pouts while Sam sends Aisha a guilty smile.
"I can't believe you guys..." You scoff, causing their attention to be on you.
"Please Y/n, what pissed in your cereal this morning?" Yasmin giggles while you roll your eyes.
Brucks grabs a chair and slams his tray on the table "whats up ladies" he flirts.
Before you could react you notice someone making their way to your table, he wore a red and blue flannel while his book bag rested on his back. He was staring at Sam, until Kyler and the rest of his friends swarmed around the table.
Kyler sits beside Sam with his arms over her shoulders, "hey Sam, lookin' beautiful" He comments. Kyler notices the boy and waves mockingly at him.
The boy backs off, scurrying back to his seat. You push your tray into the middle of the table, getting out of your chair rudely as you walk away from the people you called your friends.
Before you walked off you heard Kyler ask "Damn, what's up with her." Yasmin responds but you don't stay long enough to listen, her comment caused the group to laugh.
You nervously make your way to where Demetri, Eli, and the new boy are sitting. You watched as Eli drops his head down and covers his lip once again, as if you were going to make fun of him for it. You couldn't blame him, but you also couldn't help but feel a twinge of pain cross through your heart.
You turn to Demetri knowing he was the more talkative one of the growing group "is it okay if I sit here?" You ask, pointing to the chair right across from Eli.
"By all means go ahead! It isn't as if the table is overflowing by the minute!" He sarcastically remarks, using his hands to show the 'overflowing'.
You let out a small chuckle by his comment before taking your seat. "I'm Y/n" You say, more so to the new boy.
"Oh we know who you are, isn't that right Eli?" Demetri says as he playfully hits Eli's shoulder causing his eyes to widen in embarrassment.
"Hey Eli, I love your sweater" You say, sending him an over the top sweet smile.
