The entire smith household was buzzing as they prepared for a very important dinner, or at least Emma and Daniel were. Maddy and Rhydian on the other hand were sitting and quietly talking, nervous, but not as much. They knew Clara's first change side effects had begun to go away. She even apologized to Mr. Jefferys, but still something seemed to be bothering her. Jana, who walked her to the Smith's house, didn't notice, though she wasn't really on track with the whole emotional radar. She was chattering on about this hideout she'd found in the forest, a cave or something she hung out in during full moons.
"And it's completely open at the front-" The door opened in front of them, and the black haired woman-Mrs. Smith- extended her hand.
"I don't think we've formally met. Emma Smith."
"Clara." Daniel popped up behind her, and she spun around, shaking his hand as well,
"Are you hungry? We have everyone's favorite." She prayed they meant meat, and she was right, much to her happiness. But the hunger induced euphoria disappeared after a while, and she couldn't get the look on Jimi's face out of her head. God, she thought, he must think I'm a total loser. She quickly righted herself, deciding not to think about it when there was so much more important things in front of her.
"I like your house." She remarked, glancing around, "And it smells better here too." It was an odd thing to say, but she found that Wolf-bloods smelled better than humans, who sprayed that overwhelming perfume everywhere.
"It's because your with your own now, pet." Emma said with a small smile, shoveling more meat onto her plate. "After your first transformation, everything runs on hyper-drive, that's why you're noticing how odd the humans smell."
"Shannon said something about a den? Where you transform during full moons? What's that about?" Maddy sighed, as if the place held a bad memory, and Emma just shrugged.
"Want to see it?"
