THE DEN

'Den' was an accurate description, though it was more like a basement. It smelled uncannily like the woods, sticks leaves and branches decorated the floor. But as Clara looked around, she saw the scratches on the walls, and the doors, like something, or someone, had been desperately trying to get out. It didn't even seem big enough for the 6 of them to fit down there human, she couldn't imagine being in there as a wolf. Talk about claustrophobia.

"And-" She swallowed the lump forming in her throat, "You guys change down here? Trapped the whole night?" Emma smiled sympathetically.

"I know it seems bad now, but it's not." Daniel quickly backed up his wife's statement, "It's got everything a Wolf-blood could want on a full moon. Perfect, and safe."

     Everything except freedom, Clara thought.

She shivered in place, still completely unsure of the whole thing. She hoped she wasn't going to be forced down here the next full moon, but she had a feeling she would be. She backed up towards Jana, remembering her story about the cave she found, and how great it would be to hang out there on the full moon.

"I dunno. I think I might just go with Jana." Jana beamed, "Really?! That'd be brilliant!" Clara didn't think she was happy because she wanted to be friends or something, she just figured Jana was lonely running out there all alone each full moon. It must have gotten pretty hard to bear. Even thinking about it bugged her.

Daniel and Emma's faces twisted. They knew there wasn't much room in the Den for themselves, Maddy, Rhydian, and Clara, but they didn't like the idea of her being out there. Unprotected and exposed. Clara, however thought it was a brilliant idea, being free was the best thing about the gig so far.

"You shouldn't-"

"We promise we'll be careful." Pressed Jana, now taking charge of the situation, eagerly stepping forward. There were a lot of Alpha females in the room at one time. "We won't get into trouble. And if we do we'll come right to you. Promise."

Emma looked desperately to Daniel, who didn't look too happy about the idea either. But eventually they gave in, understanding that that was the best they were going to get, especially with Clara and Jana involved. Imagining a free full moon on the moors, with a friend by her side, she was suddenly extremely happy. All of the wolf attitude left over from her change faded into the back of her mind, even Jana seemed to feel relieved.

Then something ruined her good mood, her phone buzzed like mad. It was the K's.

Clara, you'll like never believe what Jimi just did! Katrina texted first, then Kara added, He's such a sleeze. We warned you. Kay sent the actual picture.

It wasn't any great taboo, if it had been anyone else looking at the picture there would have been nothing wrong, but Clara felt nearly sick. It was Jimi, holding hands and whispering to a beautiful brunette that she'd never seen before. Luckily at that point she had left the Smith residence and was on the way home. But when she saw that message she shot off into the woods. Clearing her head seemed like the best option to her. Don't worry about it, she reminded herself, she had new friends now and knew crushing on the first guy she saw was a bad idea.

But she was completely thrown off guard when she caught a familiar smell in the air. And the boy lined up in her sight, long hair tickling the tops of his shoulders. He shot her an award winning smirk,

"What's got you in such a rush, Wolfblood?"
