Chapter 5
The next three weeks passed by pretty fast. Olivia spent as much time as possible hanging out with Janet, a few other friends and her brother Pedro. She knew she was going to miss them terribly while she was on the road and she wasn't sure when she would get back. Her father told her she had exactly till the end of the summer, and then she has to continue on with her education whether or not she found her mother.
"I hate him! What if I never find my mother, I think I am going to need more than 11 months to find her. It's a big world how I am suppose to find one person, who's name I do not know nor do I know her last address or anything about her. It's not fair!" Olivia pouted and then screamed into the pillow on her lap, feeling extra frustrated with her father's sudden news. Pedro walked across the room where his little sister was sitting on his bed, and patted her back "Estupida, estúpida will you look at me?" Pedro chided and teased his sister calling her stupid something she hated; he knew this would get her attention. Olivia picked up the pillow in her lap and hit him square in the face with it "Don't call me that! You know I hate it!" Olivia screamed as she hit him a few more times to express her point. "I know you do but how was I supposed to get you to stop crying and look at me, now let's talk okay. You don't hate dad, I know you don't. But estúpida you have to understand where dad is coming from. Letting you go search for your mother is hard enough, you are his only daughter, and with the rogues out there stealing young girls like yourself, you must see how difficult this is for him. 11 months is a long time, and he is only making you go with one enforcer, I had to talk him out of sending you out with 7 enforces." Olivia's ears perked up at the last statement she looked to Perdo for an explanation "I told dad that it would look suspicious to other shifters and rogues if you were walking around with 7 other werewolves, and they may conclude that you're someone important and try to take you. He agreed with me, so you can thank me by bringing me breakfast in bed for the next couple of days." Olivia raised an eyebrow at him trying to figure out if her joking about the breakfast thing. "I'm not kidding. 11 months is a long time and dad is going to be stressed the whole time. Dad knows that this is important to you and wants you to be happy, and he is fighting with his wolf's instinct to keep you near at all times." Pedro looked at his stubborn little sister and decided to share another piece of information with her hoping it would help. "I am not supposed to tell you this but I will. Dad is going to have two extra enforces following you guys but from a few miles behind and they will be tracking you by scent to make sure you guys are okay.". Olivia rolled her eyes at him but gave him a smile; she understands how stressful her time away would be for her dad but she still didn't like having a time limit she really didn't think 11 months would be enough time. Olivia raised her pillow again in attempt to hit her brother with it, but he caught it in time. "What the hell was that for?" Pedro fumed. "Don't think I didn't hear you call me estúpida again!"Olivia screamed as she tackled her brother.
Chapter 6
"Again! Good now again! Don't hesitate, now attack again. Be more confident in your attack or no one is ever going to fear you." Juan told Olivia's small brown wolf through the mind link they shared in wolf form, his much larger black wolf was struggling to hold itself back from the attacks Olivia was making. "Calm down wolf it is just training, she needs to know how to protect herself from someone else that is as big as you." Juan reminded the wolf, as he felt it ready attack Olivia's much smaller wolf into submission. It didn't feel threatened by her attacks, the wolf just perceived it as annoying; he wanted to go hunting not train. His wolf wanted to go running in the forest and to go hunt down a rabbit or something and bring back to Olivia to show her that he can keep her safe and provide for her. Juan did not agree with his wolf's thoughts and tried to keep it in check around Olivia, his wolf always acted up in her presence wanting to show off and presenting her with small kills and even larger ones sometimes.
