"𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐂𝐀𝐍'𝐓 𝐖𝐄 𝐆𝐎 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆?" Valerie whined.

"Because we don't have enough time" Julie explained.

"But we do!" Valerie cried out as she sad next to her friend on the hotel bed, "we have two hours"

"But you need two hours there and we besides we have to leave in an hour"

"God this is so boring" Valerie complained as she laid down on the bed.

"Well we can always find something to do here"

  "Oo like what"

"Look at your magazines, listen to music, watch tv, get something to eat— there's a lot of stuff to do here!"

"What if" Valerie paused making Julie more exhilarated, "we call down and get food delivered"

"Yes!" Julie exclaimed as her face lit up with joy. Valerie jumped off the bed to the phone and dialled the number that was written on the paper beside the phone and asked Julie what to order.

"Get the salmon salad for me and I think you should take the caesar-salad"

"Okey" Valerie said as she put the phone to her ear and twirled the cord around her finger,"hello we would like to order one salmon salad and one caesar-salad"

"Okay— that'll be 25,99" the woman on the other line said.

"Yes, but will the food be delivered to the door?"

"That would be another five dollars though. Would you like that"

"It would be 5 dollars extra to the door" Valerie said holding her hand over the speaker of the phone to talk to Julie.

  "It's fine I'll get it"

"Great" Valerie said as she took her hand if the speaker, "yes we would like that"

"Fantastic, what is you room number?"

  "Oh it's 209"

"Great the food will be delivered soon"

An hour later they sat in the lobby waiting for the other new players to arrive. First a younger boy walked down the stairs.

"Wait weren't he like in the olympics for figure skating?" Julie asked as she furrowed her brows together.

"I think so" Valerie answered questionably. At that moment the limo stopped and the driver got out to help the little boy with his bag.
The small boy sat down on the sofa in-front of Valerie.

"Hi, I'm Valerie" she said as she stuck out her hand to the boy, "and this is Julie!"

"I'm Ken, but you can call me Kenny— most people do that" the boy said as he took her hand.

"Well it's nice to meet you Kenny" Valerie smiled at Ken. She could feel that he was very shy.

"I'm sorry to ask but weren't you in olympics, for figure skating?" Julie asked curiously.

"Yeah I was" Ken said quietly, "but Mr. Tibbles said it was more of a future in hockey"

"Well you were amazing" Valerie said.

"Yeah really awesome" Julie added.

"Thank you" Ken said his cheeks flushed a light pink colour— he probably wasn't used to the attention.

They had almost talked all the time until another boy who got there and sat next to Kenny this time.

"I'm Luis" the Mexican boy said and looked around. He didn't look as old as Valerie but was probably around Julie's age.

"I'm Julie"

"I'm Valerie"

"I'm Kenny"

"Nice"

"How many more are we going to wait for?" Valerie asked the driver.

"Only two more people" he answered politely.

"Okay thank you sir" Valerie said and turned around again.

"I'm so nervous" Julie whispered to her friend.

"It's gonna be fine" Valerie whispered back.

"You don't know that"

"Yes I do" Valerie smiled, "remember that they wanted us"

"Thank you" Julie said as she put her head on Valerie's shoulder and sighed.

"Any time" she said while she put her arm over her shoulders.

Once again a guy got out of the elevator, he was a little older than Julie, and the others but probably a bit younger than Valerie.

"Hello there fellas" he exclaimed with a huge smile on his face.

"Hello" Valerie said gleefully. As the others also greeted him.

"My names Dwayne" the guy said in a deep southern accent.

"I'm Julie and this is Valerie"

"My names Ken, but call me Kenny"

"Im Luis"

"Are y'all exited?" Dwayne asked.

"Yeah" Luis said, "are you?"

"Course I am"

"this is finally the last guy" Valerie said to Julie.

This time a guy walked in and sat next to Dwayne. This guy looked a little older than Valerie which was a shock because the oldest you could be was eighteen— and he looked a little older than that.

"Hi, I'm Valerie" she said.

"Dean" he answered coldly.

"Not much of a talker huh" Valerie hissed as he just gave her a cold look, "well okay then"
