"You've got to be kidding me Lori!" I almost yelled. The tears that were on the verge of falling were only kept in place because I had not yet blinked. Lori was my best friend since kindergarten. When I needed a shoulder to lean on wed have girl nights, when I needed to talk about Damien Walker with someone shed listen to me. I had woken up quite early not because I wanted to or my alarm went off, it was because of the constant tapping on my door. I opened it only to find Lori fully dressed in a red trench coat and blue jeans. She slightly smiled and almost like she was scared, she told me they were moving, her and her mom. She didn't explain why and when I told her she's got to be kidding, she just shrugged and left. I sat at the doorstep as the tears started falling, I had only three friends in highschool and Lori leaving the friend group meant I was stuck with Judy and Miles. Miles was a stud and Judy was obsessed with Damien Walker that's why I never told her about my crush on Damien Walker. The only thing that pulled me out of my trance was the sound of my mom opening the door. She looked down at me and sneered.

"Could've made a more useful child if I hadn't used your father's genes." She said. I sighed and stood up. Mom and I never got along. She hated me and I hated living with her. She had divorced my father after she went to his office and found his secretary inside. That's when she started hating me. Since I was four up till now, her hate never seized. I walked back into the house as it was too chilly outside or maybe it was just my heart. I chose the clothes I wanted to wear for the day and walked into my tiny bathroom. At least it had a shower unlike the one I had when I was six. After taking the cold painful shower I entered my room. I looked around. I had no bed. It was just my mattress down there, a thin mattress I used since I was like ten and was only bought because the Kids officer was in the neighbourhood. The room had only one yellow light that was fading. I made a note to myself to buy a bulb when I got off work. My books were on the floor next to my bed where I studied from. I had no furniture except for a board closet that was tiny enough to fit my seven pairs of clothes. Lori had never been to my room, not like I would allow anyone in that sty and not that we were poor, don't get me wrong. My mom was a local doctor and my dad a CEO they just didn't care enough honestly. I dressed up fast and headed to the cabinet with my drugs. I looked at the yellow pills in the container.

Prozac 500mg

I took one. That was the only thing my mom provided for me because she didn't want anyone thinking she had a psychotic daughter under her roof. PTSD that's what made my step brother call me retarded. It was a reason for him to beat me up whenever I had a bad dream and screamed. pTSD was the reason I had no friends in highschool. I sighed and hurried downstairs where I just walked through the door. Knowing my mother, after a night shift she was probably snoring now and I couldn't make breakfast and my brother was perhaps passed out in a club somewhere in Tennessee. I hurriedly started on the pathway to school. I knew it would rain later but I didn't put much thought on it.i looked at my wrist clock. Seven forty nine. I had ten minutes to get to Mrs Doves English class or else I'd be headed to my third detention that week. Today I had no one to drive me to school. When I arrived at school I realized two things, one, Miles and Judy were not waiting at my locker for me, two was that everyone was staring at me like I was some weirdo. But I was used to that one. I took my books from my locker and headed to class where I met Judy and Miles conversing.

"Hey guys, how are you doing?" I asked with my best smile possible.
Judy glared at me and stood up to walk away. I nervously chuckled.
" What's up with her?" I asked Miles. She stared at me and seemed to acknowledge something. She looked at my face and for a while I felt a bit self conscious as she nodded and then stared at her phone. She seemed to again look up but didn't this time she tilted her head sideways and seemed to frown. Then as if on reflex she turned back to my face and now I could tell she wasn't looking in my eyes but at my freckles.
"What's your gram handle." She ignored my question and decided to ask hers. I shrugged and took out my books.
"You know I don't post on gram. I have no followers, not even you guys follow me." I chuckled again. It was more painful to say that than I thought.

"I asked for your handle Maya." She said with her bit of deep voice. I sighed and shrugged.

"Mayafreckles. The name Stacey used to call me to mock my freckles in pre school." I said. If Miles was shocked, she didn't show it.
"Yeah I figured, have you checked your account since last night?" She asked.

"Uhh no? Not since last week Friday when I was looking through reels...I've been busy with work y'know?" I asked. She didn't answer that too but instead she asked another question.
"Could you uhm....check it?" She asked. I nodded and shrugged. I opened my phone. Shit I was at 4% I knew it would shut down soon. I opened my gram account and it took five minutes to load. This better be worth it.

One follower

I stared at my phone. I never had followers! Was it Miles or Judy or Lori? I clicked the message and almost had a heart attack and as if on cue He entered. I stared at him and at my phone for almost a full minute before I noticed Miles was looking at me. Yep she wanted to read my facial expression. The guy walked up to me with his football minions trailing behind him. Greenville High had only three most good looking people. And one, as I had already mentioned, is Damien Walker. His green eyes, his brown tousled up hair, his fashion and his car, now I could dream of dating Damien cause I had a chance. He changed girls like he changed clothes and I thought I'd be one of the lucky designer clothes chosen. The second was Colt Marker. He was the basketball team captain. He had deep blue electric eyes and this perfect and plump pink lips and a jawline that was worth it. He was in my chemistry class and always ignored me. I was cool with that actually. I couldn't match up to his league and he dated only blondes. I had cocoa brown hair.
All this three guys sat together at lunch only them. No one could join them, not even their girlfriends.

The third and only follower I now had on Gram was standing right in front of me. I felt chills run down my spine. He was in every class I was in but never looked my way. Even when I did something embarrassing he'd just stare at me and turn away. I felt... Like an opening book as my fingers trembled. Suddenly the fifteen guys on the school team disappeared and only three guys stood in front of me. Or maybe it was Carly cause she was in front of me. I looked at the electric grey eyes and the pink lips. His tanned body covered by a black tight shirt and a pair of sweatpants. I was staring at non other than the cutest guy in school. Flynn Marshall.

This time I didn't need to look at Miles to know she was reading my cheeks, I turned to her and she looked from my eyes to my hands. I also did and realized they were three! No one was not mine!!! I followed the arm to the owner. Flynn.

"Hi am Flynn Marshall." He said and as soon as I connected my hands to his. He smiled and so did his friends and just like that, they went to sit at the back of the class as everyone's stare lingered on me. What just happened?.
