Sorry! I am going to have to make this chapter 3rd person, because it involves many different places and characters.
It was the day of the wedding. Michael's parents had arrived, after making sure the country was up and running smoothly again. Marian was put in the Skull Dungeons, and Lori stayed with them, but she had no recollection of her mother. Michael, Keefe, Dex, Tam, and Fitz were waiting outside near the beginning of the setting. A brown arch was twined with white and pink and blue flowers and vines. A couple of pews were lined up in rows for the guests to sit on during the ceremony. A red carpet went through to the arch where the officiator would be waiting.
"Why did you decide to dye your stupid bangs a stupid silver?" Keefe asked Tam.
"My hair is not stupid! Yours is!"
"But----"
"Guys! NOOO arguing over hair on MY wedding day!" Michael interrupted, before things could get even more absurd.
Back in the dressing room....
"I can do my hair myself. " Mary assured Biana. Biana, Sophie, and Linh were her bridesmaids, Sophie being the maid of honor. They were all getting ready in Sophie's old room. Since Mary's mom was definitely not available for the mushy mother role, Edaline stepped up. The Bridesmaids all wore matching silk dresses. Mary wore a beautiful silk wedding gown with tule and mesh covering it in layers and branching out at the sleeves. It had a heart neckline, and her dress went all the way down to the floor.
Mary's hair was done beautifully, the waves flowing down naturally slightly clipped back by a sliver, wreath shaped clip. Mary was so pretty; she might have outdone even her mother's fabled beauty. Mary reminisced about the times she had with her old friends. Maybe she would get to see her cousin soon.
Mary hadn't gotten to see Michae's family yet, because of all the things with the Kingdom and stuff. There was a knock on the door. Mary opened it to see a wonderful sight. Samira Varex, her old friend, was back. They stared at each other for a moment, teary eyes. Then they embraced. They talked and talked so much about their lives that each other had missed, that Biana had even got to fix Mary's hair without a pounding.
After a few minutes, it was time. Mary was ready. Rodger came into the room. Mary and he had reconciled and were beginning to rebuild their relationship. Mary was honored to have him there, especially since her mother couldn't. Biana, Samira, and Linh went downstairs to the fields.
"Are you ready?" Rodger asked.
"Yes"
They walked downstairs. They reached the courtyard, and everyone stood when the music played. It was the usual bride walk song, but in electric guitar. As soon as Mary got there, she locked eyes with Michael. They were the only people alive in their eyes, they love stronger than anything. Mary finally reached the arch, and Rodger gave her away to Michael. They stood, and the officiator said some very unimportant stuff about cows and dragons and such. They got to the vows.
"Do you, Michael Thoren Varex, take Mary Opal Alex, to be you lawfully wedded companion, to love and to care for, as long as you shall live, wich will be a while?"
"I do"
"And you, Mar Opal Alex, take this dimwit, Michael Thoren Varex, to be your lawfully wedded companion, as long as you shall live?"
"I do"
"Now, by the power vested in me, by which is in the very small town of Cristenbeurg, I pronounce you: Husband and Wife! You may hug!"
They hugged, as was customary in the Nierce, and everyone cheered.
Afterwards, there was a reception inside of the home. There was food and dancing, but there were speeches. Keefe gave an absolutely hilarious one about his copycat and the girl of many talents, which is what he called Mary, (because that was the one nickname she did not kill him for) and congratulated them about joining the married club.
Sophie said a very short speech because she knew how much Mary hated them, but it was very heartfelt. Then, of course, there was the tossing of the bouquet. Linh caught the flowers, but through them back because she was allergic. The night ended with laughs and friends. Mary and Michael went to their new home in peace. They lay on their bed for the first time, thinking how lucky they were to have each other.
