mark exhaled heavily, his arms around a naked y/n after the end of their movie. a blanket was the only thing that covered them, and barely at that, but neither could care that much.

"glad i closed the curtains earlier.." y/n said quietly, making mark snicker in response.

y/n felt disappointment flood his chest when mark began getting up and dressing himself. he frowned in confusion as he sat up in his place.

"you're not staying..?"

mark looked back at the other while slipping his shorts on.

"i have an early schedule tomorrow so it'll be better if i just go back to my place," he answered. y/n nodded, trying to hide his sadness.

mark finished with his clothes after adjusting his jacket. he leaned down to place a kiss on y/n's head before heading out.

"have a good night," mark said as he flashed a smile and disappeared outside. y/n's brows furrowed.

"have a good night?" he repeated, dumbstruck. he looked down at his post sex state. they had two seconds of emotional aftercare, and hadn't even cleaned up together. he couldn't help but feel disheartened, and even a little used.

"what kind of bullshit.." he mumbled, getting up now to clean up alone.

as much as he wanted to believe that mark was just dealing with some things and wasn't himself, he couldn't brush off his rising anger. this was literally a rule they made. aftercare always. and yet, here he was alone and upset.

after turning on his shower, he decided to just take a nice bath and try to relax as much as he could. he set some quiet classical music on his phone and placed it aside, trying his best to clear his mind of what just happened.
