Atty. Stacey Amelie Rivera, CPA

Looking at my name plate for me, is somehow a sign that I already achieved a lot from all the dreams I have since then. It was a worth it journey I ever had, ang dami kong sinuko para lang sa kung ano ako ngayon and I never regretted choosing my dreams over other people.

Parang sa simpleng pagtingin ko sa nameplate ko ay gumagaan ang pakiramdam ko knowing the sacrifices and pain I went through. But there's something missing in me even though I already achieved to become an accountant and a lawyer.

"Attorney Rivera, a minute in my office please." tawag sa 'kin ni Attorney Diaz.

Sa totoo lang kinakabahan ako sa tuwing tinatawag ako ni Attorney Diaz.

Attorney Diaz is our legal head dito sa company, she  is a very prominent lawyer in the Philippines as well. She's also an accountant, she's always my idol when it comes to the subject of being a lawyer. Bilib na bilib ako sakaniya, kaya nung nalaman ko na I was accepted to work here with her, I was so happy and motivated to know deeper about my profession.

"This is saddening to say Attorney Rivera but you know I am a lawyer for almost thirty years, for the past thirty years, puro nalang ako trabaho but I could say I didn't regret this since this is my passion ever since I am young, and to be honest I really see myself in you Attorney Rivera"

What are she trying to imply here? Her words makes me flutter and love my profession more. She gave me a reason to push harder to claim my dreams, because this is just a small step for the ultimate success in my profession.

"I gave up a lot for this profession, but now I really want to take a break and enjoy my life. That is why I am retiring in this company as the Chief Legal Officer in this company, and I want you to take over in my position Attorney Rivera." she said.

Ha? Ako? What the, I can't believe this! My emotions right now feels like I'm in a rollercoaster. I am really achieving my dreams! "A-ako po?" I asked again because her words aren't sinking on my brain as of the moment.

"Yes, ikaw. Are you open for the position Attorney Rivera?" she asked me. Without any hesitation I accepted her offer. "Yes, I am very open and credible for this position Attorney Diaz"

She smiled and held my hand "Now, that's the spirit of a dreamer Attorney Rivera, hindi ako nagkamali ng pagpili after a long time of deciding. I'll arrange my recommendation later for you later on, as of the moment just wait for my call." she said

I smiled back at her, I couldn't count how many times I expressed my warm gratitude for choosing me to take over her huge position in this company. After that, I left her office with a huge smile and a happy heart.

I want to celebrate and tell my family about this agad agad but I forgot I have a scheduled task ngayon, kaya mamaya nalang pagkatapos. I need to fetch some papers sa Civil Registry. I took my bag sa desk ko along with my car keys and drove to the Civil Registry Office.
