Adelaide immediately regretted her decision as  soon she heard what Liv had planned for her. She definitely regretted it when she found herself fake-confidently walking away from her group of giggling friends and across the lobby. She knew she 100% regretted it when her target, Hot Blonde, noticed her beeline towards her and raised her head, making eye contact with the very nervous, suddenly wishing she had put a hoodie on top of her tank top and sweat pants combo Adelaide.

Before she could chicken out, Ad straightened her spine, threw on a slightly cocky half-grin, and did her perfected flirty eyes, thankful she wore mascara and left her hair down before coming down to the lobby.

She placed her hand on the arm of the velvet armchair Hot Vanilla Latte was sitting in, forcing the girl to tilt her head back to continue making eye contact, a slight smile covering her face, "Hi, so, this might be a little strange, but I noticed you staring a few times and if you're into girls I was hoping I could get your number?" Adelaide said while slightly quirking her eyebrow and tilting her head.

A blush spread across Hot Blondie Brownie Al A Mode's face as her smile grew. Ad knew her heavily freckled face mimicked a similar blush, but she couldn't find it in her to care as the girl in front of her reached into her pocket, "Yeah, yeah you can have my number. I'm definitely into girls so, well-," she paused, "I'm definitely into you." She finished in a slightly lower octave, tilting her head into Adelaide's space.

Snickers, giggles, and 'oh shiiit's' could be heard behind her from Ms. Muscles friends as the pair swapped phones. Ad put her name in as "Adelaide (the incredibly hot and amazing girl from hotel)" hoping to get a laugh out of Vanilla BeefCake, 'and I mean, who would disagree? I'm hot and totally amazing and totally not shitting bricks out of nerves right now' the smaller green-eyed brunette thought.

Ad traded phones back and gave the girl in front of her, whose face and ears now sported a spray of light pink blush, as well as a slightly bashful, slightly smug smile. "Thanks," Ad smiled, "Well listen I'm only in town for a couple more days but I hope to see you around?" She questioned as she pushed off her lean on the chair and took a slow step back. "I mean, I definitely hope so." The blonde said while leaning back into her chair, readjusting her long legs, her right hand not holding her phone came to rest on her black sweatpant-clad thigh, (her very large hand Ad noticed) never breaking eye contact. A small huff of laughter came from Adelaide's nose as her smile grew, somehow getting truly cocky now.

She decided to leave the blonde wanting more by not saying anything else, turning on her heel after a few more reversed steps, and retreating back to the safety of her friends outside. As she made eye contact with her best friend Angelina, her face fell into that of shock, disbelief, and nothing short of gay disaster.

Finally feeling her blush on her face, Ad let out a giggle as she stepped back out onto the deck, surrounded by her friends with mirrored expressions. The circle exploded into a fit of giggles, laughter, and lots of 'holy shit's', 'how did you do that', and 'teach me your ways woman master'. With a wide smile on her face, she turned her head back to eye the girl she (somehow) got the number of, to see that the blonde was surrounded by her friends, getting similar teasing treatment. A brunette with a wide smile and a shorter blonde with dutch braids in her hair dap up Ms. Blushing Grey Eyes and let out loud laughs as she ducks her head behind one of their shoulders, hands covering her now bright red face and wide smile.

"Ok ok ok Jesus Christ now that that's over someone please talk about something else before I literally keel over and die," Ad lets out in a rush, "feel my fucking heart Ang." She grabs the deep tan hand of her best friend and presses it to her own chest, forcing the sports editor to feel her racing heartbeat. "Oh my god woman how are you alive right now," Angelina replies. "Bitch I don't fucking know!!" The (still) very nervous freckled girl says.

Finally, the excitement of the encounter dies down, and Adelaide gets a moment to check her phone. It unlocks to the last thing opened, a contact under the name "basketball woman".

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Guys she didn't even give me her fucking name" I turn my phone around to show the contact to the group. That bitch. That hot bitch. but still. Mildly regretting my choice of contact name now, I shut off my phone and pay more attention to the (still) going game of truth or dare.

"Tits or Ass" I hear from beside me, Lilly and I share a love for women you see, she gets me. "Pfft I don't know dude, is both an option?" I say. The age-old question has haunted me ever since the 7th grade and I got a TikTok on my for you page of a masc lesbian. It was at that moment I knew women were sooooo it. Like c'mon man imagine kissing someone and you reach up, and you feel the day-old stubble of some mediocre teenage boy instead of the soft, moisturized jawline of a girl. I shudder as I release that thought from my mind and focus back on the question. "Nope still don't have an answer for you. Ask me something else." I say. "Fine, uhmmm," the brunette pauses, "what's your type," she says with an accusatory look.

Bruh, I think. I know exactly what my type is. It's painfully obvious, but before I can let out the embarrassing confession, Angelina speaks up with a laugh, "Well I can answer that one for you. Mascs, blondes, sporty, and taller than her, but in Ad's own words 'that's not exactly hard to do, I'm only 5'5"' she says "And a half!" I chime in with an eye roll. Every inch matters when you hate feeling talked down to.

I open my eyes after my very satisfying eye roll and come face to face, or should I say, face to stomach, with none other than Ms. HottieMcHotPants. I feel a hand lightly on my jaw as my heart begins to skyrocket again. My head becomes tilted up, and I find myself once again making eye contact with this random stranger. "I'm in town for a bit longer too, but in case I never see you again," she pauses before leaning down, and pressing a firm but respectful kiss to my lips. I think I die right then and there. What else needs to happen in my life?

It was nothing more than a 3-second long kiss, no movement, but more than a peck before she pulls away. Guess it's her turn to smirk. With a curt nod at my surely awestruck face, she turns and meets the brunette she hid behind in the doorway, heading towards the rest of their group waiting for an elevator.

Oh hell no, I think.

Before thinking it through (which never works out for me), I stand up and quickly jog over to where her back is turned. I spin her around by her shoulders, (damn those are nice), grab onto the neckline of her tank, and pull her down to my height. I press my lips against hers in a much better, slightly more heated kiss. Her mouth opens slightly in a gasp, but she quickly catches on, sliding said large hands around my waist as she deepens the kiss. I hear a wolf whistle from one of her friends and push the blonde away, "You call that a kiss?" I ask, slightly panting.

I was partially breathless from the kiss, and partially from the 15-second jog. I take photos and write for fun, not sports, don't judge me here. She smiles at me again while slightly stepping back. I loosen my hold on her shirt, "I never got your name by the way." I say, finally catching my breath.

"It's Paige," she says with a soft laugh, "Paige Bueckers."
