Hello everyone!
This is the first book I'm writing in my life. It is summer break right now, so I thought I'd write a book!
This book is about Shubman Gill, a businessman from Delhi, and Sara Tendulkar, a simple girl who is studying MBA in London.
...
Sia came running to my room, saying, "Sa, Jiju (brother-in-law Shubman) has arrived!" She said excited. I replied, "first of all he's not JIJU yet, I'll go to the washroom, and then we can go down."
As soon as I came out, my mom and Savita Atya were waiting for me in the room. Savita Atya asked, "Sa, ready?" while fixing my necklace.

I replied, "Ho (yes)," and with that, we left my room to go down to the living room.
Just as I was descending the stairs, I saw Shubman sitting there with his family. What caught my attention was how nicely he was talking to my Aji (grandmother).
My dad exclaimed, "Lo, Sa aa gai (see, Sa came)."
That's when he looked up at me. Our eyes connected. He was wearing a red kurta. Looks good, hmm, not bad.
Savita Atya whispered in my ear, "Sa, go touch their feet," while looking at Shubman's parents.
I went and touched their feet. Shubman's mom asked, "Kaisi ho beta (how are you dear)?" while giving me blessings and a hug. Blushing, I replied, "Theek hu (fine)." His father instructed me to sit next to him, and that's what I did.
His mom asked, "So Sa, how are your studies going?" I replied, "Good auntie, I still have one more semester to go, and then I'm done with my studies."
His dad, sipping tea, asked, "Phir kya plans hai tere (what are your plans after that)? What do you want to do?" He asked, "Most probably do an internship, but I haven't decided yet."
We talked for a good half an hour, and then my mom said, "Sa, you and Shubman should go to your room and talk." I replied, "Yes, Ai(mom)."
Sia said, walking up the stairs, "Come, Sa and Shubman."
As soon as we entered my room, Sia closed the door and left us alone. Shubman went towards my bed and sat down.
"Hi, Sara," he said.
"Hi, Shubman," I replied, sitting next to him.
"Um, so I don't want to beat around the bush...but even if we get married, I'm not into love and all that. You understand, right? I'm marrying just because my dad will give me ownership of his company, and that is really.... important," he said. "That doesn't mean I won't keep you happy or fulfill my responsibilities as a good husband. I just can't.... be in love, and I'm really....sorry,"he added, looking at his hands resting on his lap.
"Don't worry, Shubman. I also agreed to marry just because my family wants it. I don't know if I'm ready for it, so I guess we're on the same page," I replied. With that, we both nodded at each other, and Shubman said, "Okay, so Sara Tendulkar, do you agree to marry me with the conditions I've given you?'" "Yes, I do" I added.
After a little more discussions, we decided to go downstairs and inform our families about our decision.
As we descended the stairs, everyone stared at us. Shubman was in front of me, so everyone's attention was on him because of his height, and I remained hidden behind him.
"So, um, we... agreed... to marry each other," Shubman announced, with me standing right next to him.
"Wow! You both have given us such amazing news!" Baba (dad) exclaimed, hugging me and Shubman. Little did he know that this marriage would be loveless. Everyone became super excited and started hugging and congratulating us and the others. It made me incredibly happy to see them happy. Fortunately, it turned out to be a good decision.
SHUBMAN
Thank God Sara is someone who understands me; otherwise, it would have been a big problem saying no. What would I tell my family?!
Anyways, it's the next day, and we were back in Delhi. My parents have already started preparing. They want the roka (engagement) to be held here in Mumbai and the wedding in Delhi. Also, Sara will be leaving for London soon, so they wanted the roka (engagement) to take place before that.
I was just working on my laptop when a notification popped up on my phone. It was from Instagram, saying 'Saratendulkar started following you.' So, she follows me now, and I followed her back. Not gonna lie, I wanted to stalk her, so I did.
I was scrolling through her Instagram. She is so beautiful! But Shub, don't forget that this is just for the sake of the arrangement. You can't develop feelings for her.

Just then, my sister entered my room, "Shub, why so shy, huh?" Shahneel asked. "Bohot jaldi hai apko 😜 (are you in a hurry to marry her)," she added teasing me.
It was dinner time, and I arrived at the dinner table, saying "Good evening, everyone" as I took my place. "Good evening," everyone replied. "So Shub,We've called the pandit ji, and he must be on his way," Dad said.
"Namaste (hello)," Pandit ji(priest) said. "Aye, pandit ji, kaise ho aap? (Come in, Pandit ji, how are you?)" Foi asked him while leading him to the living room.
"Ji, kundali dijiye dono ki. (Please give me the birth chart of both of them)," Pandit ji asked, and Mom handed it over.
After a few minutes of checking, he said, "Toh dates 26th ya 27th December ka mil raha hai, ye do din bohot acha hai dono ke liye. (So, the dates 26th or 27th of December are matching. These two are really good!)"
We thanked him, and he left. "I'm calling Sachin to ask which date suits him the most."
After a few minutes, Dad came into the living room and said, "Sachin and the family agreed to the 26th of December. The roka (engagement) will be on the 26th," my dad said, and with that, everyone started jumping with joy.
"Chalo, sab taiyari karni hai... (come on we need to start preparing)" Mom said, giving everyone tasks.
