Lysa shifted against the sheets below her, giving a groan.

Blinking open her eyes she saw the first of the morning sun pouring through the viewport's shutters.

Turning her head she looked to see the bed beside her empty, as it had been for the last three nights she had slept here.

Lysa let out a sigh.

She missed Din, more than she could say. The galaxy feeling a lot bigger without him beside her.

She wondered now where he and Grogu were, hoping that whatever happened, they were ok.

She understood how strong and capable the pair of them were, having underestimated them for so long, while under Crix's spell. After the assault on the gang on the lava flats just a few days ago, she had seen just how smart, meticulous and ruthless Din was when it came to his work as a bounty hunter.

But even with this in mind, she desperately hoped that nothing bad had happened to either of them.

Din had left with Grogu right before either of them had even had the chance to eat any breakfast. With Lysa aware of how eager Din was to track down Crix once and for all, and put an end to all this.

If Lysa was honest that was all she wanted now too. To see Crix locked away on a prison ship somewhere, not because of what he'd put her through these last few years, but for what he had done to threaten the lives of Din and Grogu. No matter what, Lysa would never be able to forgive that.

But as the days had flitted slowly by, with barely anything to do to pass the time out here in Din's cabin, her mind could only worry about whether Din and Grogu would return to her in one piece.

If Crix really was on Corulag, she knew that he couldn't be underestimated. Crix had always had a knack for finding friends in low places, and she didn't doubt he had traded in a favour for safe passage there. But there was no knowing what circles he was mixing in, or what lengths he was willing to go to to ensure he was not captured.

Lysa moved to lie on her back now, staring up at the ceiling.

The nights we're growing warmer here on Nevarro. The humidity that clung to the air, having forced Lysa to strip down to just her undergarments in the early hours, as she tossed and turned. Wishing she was not alone here in Din's sleeper. Wishing that the Mandalorian was here with her to share in her sleepless nights.

There wasn't a moment, over the past three days, that he hadn't been on her mind. With Lysa convinced now that something had shifted between them of late.

A longing between them now, that perhaps had not been fully formed just a few days prior.

Lysa let out another huff of air, just as she heard a sudden noise over the cabin.

The sound of a ship flying overhead, circling around and coming to land close by.

With a frown grazing her brow, propping herself up onto her elbows, Lysa listened intently, certain that she recognised that particular engine.

Her heart thrummed a beat.

Quickly she got to her feet, flinging a long lilac tunic over her slender shoulders and wrapping it tightly around her middle. Before making for the door to the sleeper, as it slid open before her.

From here, she could hear the ship's engine loud outside, as it settled just a little way from the cabin in it's usual spot.

And Lysa, heading for the door to the cabin, pressed the button as it whooshed open in front of her...

..revealing Din's N-1 Naboo Starfighter, just a little way away from the cabin.

Lysa watched now, as the dust around the ship settled, her heart still racing, as she saw Din, switch off the engines, and the dome above him slide back.
