Remember Me In Your Despair

THE FIRST ENCOUNTER

"LIGHTS, CAMERA & ACTION!!!"

" SO U MEAN THAT WE MUST LAY A TRAP TO CATCH THE REAL CULPRIT"

" YEAH, ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. BUT THE MAIN THING HERE IS HOW DO WE DO IT?".......

 "AND CUT. GOOD JOB EVERYONE. LET'S MOVE TO THE NEXT LOCATION"

 "Thank God the shoot got over early. Come on, let's grab a snack." Park Solomon enters the grocery store after his long schedule of shooting for his ongoing k-drama gets over. He looks through the arrays of snacks searching for his favorite one. As he goes to grab the one last piece of the bar, he notices another small tender hand approaching his target. Before he knows it both he and the owner of the small tender hand are pulled up in a Tug-of-war for the candy bar.           

       "Excuse me, I took this this candy bar first so technically it's mine now. Please leave it." the guy says without looking at the person in front of, eyes still fixated on his beloved treasure.

      "Well, I don't want to be rude, but I am a regular costumer here and have been a great help to the owner of this shop so with that authority I get the VIP service here." replies the other person still persistent on taking the bar of candy. 

"U mean 'VERY IRRITATING PERSON' " he replies smiling menacingly at his own joke.

" Are u in kindergarten or something??? Or maybe u just forgot ur brain at home". It was at this statement that he finally looked up to see who this person was. At first sight as one could describe it was a small, innocent looking face which was now filled with annoyance and irritation. Had it been a different situation Solomon would have wanted to stare more at the mesmerizing face but now it was not the time to lose his senses, he had to win his candy bar. Before he could get out of his trance the girl replied," Forget it. I just to drink some Soju." saying this she hands the candy bar to him and goes away to buy herself the beverage. 

As they both finish shopping and get ready to pay their respective bills, Mrs. Bae, the grocery shop owner looks at the girl gleefully and asks," Oh, Yuri-ya where have u been from the last few weeks?? My sales have been down because you wouldn't come. You're my lucky charm, you know that, right?".     

 " Ani Ajhumma, I actually had my first semester exams this entire month. It got over today so me and my fellow colleagues came out for a drink. Leave all this, how have you been?" Yuri replies, her voice as sweet as honey except when she is quite annoyed. 

 The ladies chat while Solomon waits until his manager nudges him to finish his little snack break a little fast. Unfortunately, he has to interrupt the two ladies and pay his bill. He comes out of the store with Yuri just behind him. They go their separate ways to sit among their co-workers clearly showing the difference between their lives.

"Ya Han Yuri what took u so long? We were all waiting for u." said Han Joon Hwi, fellow colleague and student. " Ah, it's nothing just some kindergarten kid fighting with over a candy bar."

"Wow, how can u pick up a fight with almost everyone u meet for the first time?!?!?!"exclaimed Baek Hyeon, another student. "Can't actually help it when people go around looking for a reason to talk with me" she replies flipping her hair back. The chit chats went on until Yuri's bestie at work Jeon Ye Seul gets a message from her fiancée and she looks worried at it stuck between the thought of whether or not to reply to it. Before Yuri could take charge of the situation and give her opinion something unexpected happened.......

A sedan skid on the road and hits a truck in front of it. Before anybody could react, it was too late as soon after that a few more speeding cars lost control of their control and joined the pandemonium. Within the blink of an eye the entire vicinity was engulfed in the screams of the helpless people stuck under the rubble of cars. Without waiting for the ambulance and the firefighters to arrive and sort it out, the four doctors rush to the scene to take action. Helping people out of their cars, giving them first-aid and bringing them out of the shock was all they could do. Solomon noticed in awe as Yuri attended the injured. He couldn't believe the quirky girl whom he had just fought could be so serious when handling patients. As he stared at her Yuri noticed a girl walking timidly towards the corpse of her dead parents. Yuri horrified at the terrible memory it'll leave on the girl runs to her and holds her back.

"Unnie, I want to see my parents." said the little girl. Yuri trying her best to hold back her tears says, "Don't worry ur parents have gone to ask something precious for you so they send me to take of u in their stead". She made the little girl sit on her lap and treated her wounds. As they spoke Solomon couldn't help but think of the many shades of her he had seen in the last few hours. 

Soon after the paramedics came and took over the operation. Yuri still teary eyed let go of the girl and she turned she saw "HIM" still looking at her. Both stared at each other as if nothing else mattered......
