A few weeks earlier before Yuri's exams:
"Here let me help you". Solomon was back to the bookstore to 'read a book' and spend some time with Yuri. He hadn't realized how unintentionally and unknowingly had Yuri entered his daily life. How intriguing she was! She smiled a lot more than the other people he had met before, but her eyes always showed a different emotion. A blank emotion as if she was an empty can but in a different way. It was as if the smile on her face was just a facade for the rest of the world, but he could see it.
"So, Yuri-shi you never told me about your favorite book." he asked as he sipped from his cup glancing out of the glass window occasionally. Yuri looked at him and pretended to think about the answer. "I don't quite remember the name of that book. What was it???? Ahah, it was REMINDERS OF HIM by Colleen Hoover. Why do you ask though?" "Just because. Aah almost forgot about it. Here, take your umbrella" It had been more than a couple of weeks since the umbrella incident. Solomon clearly showed no intention of returning back the umbrella. It reminded him of Yuri, and he wouldn't exchange it for anything. Suddenly as they were talking the door of the bookstore opened and before Yuri could turn around and greet the customers. She was yanked away by Solomon as he hid behind a bookshelf. "What are you......?" Yuri wasn't able to complete the sentence as a hand closed her and Solomon leaned closer to her and whispered," Those are the girls who were chasing me last time, remember?"
Yuri slightly looked back to see, and he was right. It was those brats who had again popped up at the store again. Don't these girls have a school to attend. Yuri thought to herself. "Let me go and deal with them. You stay here." Yuri was about to leave when Solomon pulled her by her waist back to the position they were first standing. Yuri was taken aback. Before she could say anything, Solomon cut her off and said," Are u crazy?!?! What if they start searching around like last time? I'll definitely get caught this time." She just nodded her head and said nothing.
"Hello anybody here" the group leader asked. This time she had come with some guy. That's definitely her boyfriend. "Oppa ig the bitch is not here. Let's wait till she comes." The girl literally a drama queen. The boyfriend disagreed saying that there were CCTVs around and they might get arrested for trespassing. They all agreed that it was beat to come back and left the store. Yuri heaved a sigh of relief and finally looked up at Solomon who was staring at her face in a full daze. His eyes went back and forth from her eyes to her lips. Yuri snapped her fingers in front of his face and that broke his trance. He awkwardly let go of her and both walked out of the shelves carefully checking if the intruders had gone. There was an awkward yet calming silence between them as Yuri completed her work and Solomon helped her. It was around dinner time and the sound of stomachs growling filled the room and they decided to eat together at the nearby noodle joint.
As they were slurping ramyeon Solomon kept glancing at Yuri from time to time as she ate her serve like a child. So cute. Yuri caught his gaze and soon they had a very intense eye lock which broke eventually because the owner asked for the payment. (Mr. Owner you could have waited a little long. Our babies were having a moment.)
"Don't mind me but why do you keep staring at me today?" Yuri asked finally breaking the silence between the two. "You just look very pretty today", he replied. I think I like you. Alot, Yuri shi. He thought to him again looking at her as they continued walking.
(A/n: Soooooo this is how our lover boy was looking at our oblivious girl)
Present Day:
"How am not supposed to care about you when I like you so much......".Yuri walked hurriedly still seething with anger or rather embarrassment. The barrier which she put up around her was broken down by someone. As she sat at the bus stand waiting for her with her anger slowly fading away. Why was she so angry at him?!?!?!?! she asked herself. The bus arrived and Yuri took a seat. The bus started moving and there through the window she saw Solomon desperately looking at her, but the bus took off and she could only see his image getting smaller and smaller until it vanished.
Yuri couldn't hold it in any longer and gave away to her tears of anguish. She had tried her best to fight the urge to cry, the urge to breakdown, the urge to give up. Her heart started to feel heavy in her chest and her soul begged her desperately to accept her fate. That was when the tears rolled down her eyes. And she continued crying no longer embarrassed of her state.
I am just few seconds away from crying. So, here's an update. Please read it and don't be a silent reader. 😊
