Entrapped in another snooze fest.
It's a social function, and I absolutely dread these.
I have to be here though, for some reason.
For the most part it's a chore.
Literally counting minutes till I get to leave.
Not in as much of a hurry anymore, there you are.Well, well, well. Who do we have here?
Skimming through the crowd to find anything any bit interesting,
I find you, sitting there, eye candy.
In almost no time at all, we make eye contact.
It's not short and hostile.
Rather, it's calm and warm.
You make the room your own concert hall,
Imprinting each note into my greymatter, with technique of Paganini's dreams.
Alright, I'll bite.As though we both didn't come there with friends,
All we seem to see is each other - the room collapses in on itself.
I'm terrible with clues, but I'm damn sure -
You're basically flirting from across the room.
Not one express conventional form of communication.
You didn't say a word nor wave, but
Believe you me, we had a full conversation. Each batting of the eyelashes, every inch your face moved in any direction,
The micro alterations to your smile.
The hesitance to look at me again, you didn't want to come off creepy.
I was fighting that urge too, you're safe.
Slightly putting your hair to the side.
At times, it involved none of those.
Looks alone laced with emotions packed a punch.
They carried all the nuance you could find in a normal interaction.Unfortunately I can't continue this exchange as much as I want to.
It's time to leave, the group has somewhere else to be.
I'll leave this to another time, if there will be another time.
As I rise, I notice yet another one of the micro alterations.
That's a good sign.
There's something about… you.
You've left quite the impression, now I'm curious.
So pray tell, who are you?
