Hananene week 2023! July 1st-8th

Winter break was over, but the cold winter was still there, meaning winter uniforms. For the girl's uniforms, not a lot changed, now they just wore long sleeve dresses and had longer skirts, but they were allowed to bring jackets or hoodies in order to keep themselves warm. It was pretty much the same for the boy's uniforms. Long sleeve shirt and jackets.

Nene wore an oversized white hoodie over her dress that almost went to her knees, and was bathing in it's comfort during class. Sure, it was never good when she spaced out in class, but it wasn't like she sat very close to the front so it'll be fine, she thought.

After her first two classes, she headed to the girl's bathroom in the old building for her break, where Hanako was, and looked around in the stalls. Hanako's cold hand pressed against her cheek, jumpscaring the girl. Nene yelped, turning around quickly. Hanako laughed, amused by her reaction.

"Hanako-kun! Don't scare me like that!" Nene scolded. "Fine fine.. So what's with the hoodie? Ooooo is Yashiro going bad on me?" He teased and tugged gently at the pocket on the clothing item. "Hanako-kun, I know you don't go outside very often but I feel that you should at least know that it's winter and it's freezing. And don't worry, I won't go delinquent on you." "That'd be a fun sight to see. Yashiro the radish, taking over the road-" Nene headbutted his gut. Hanako laughed and cried out at the same time, dramatically falling on the floor. "I'm dying..." He rasped.

Nene laughed and helped him up, smiling. Hanako tugged on her hoodie sleeve, "It is kind of weird seeing you in new clothes though." "Is it?" "Mmhmm.. Hey, with the white, it kind of looks like a wedding dress since it's so long!" Hanako told her, playing with her sleeve and hugging her arm. "It does?" Nene's eyes lit up at the sound of 'wedding dress'

She took of her hoodie and tied it around her waist, letting it fall to her feet like the train of a wedding dress. The skirt of her uniform went a little below her knees, so it worked out. She put her hands to her chest dramatically and sweetly said, "Till' my death do us part." Her voice was like honey in the air, and Hanako felt compelled to listen to every word Nene spoke. "Till' your death do us part..." He murmured.

His face flushed and Nene laughed. "What are the next lines? Can't remember!" "You'd be a terrible bride, not remembering the lines." Hanako playfully tapped her hand. "I'd memorize them if I was actually getting married!" Nene argued, grinning. "Hmm I think after that part, the bride and groom are supposed to kiss, but I've never been to a wedding, so can't say for sure." Hanako shrugged. "Kiss?" Nene asked. "Again, I've never been to a wedding." "That sounds about right." Nene gave a small smile and put her hoodie back on to warm her cold arms.

The bell rang, notifying the students it was time to go to their next class. Nene sighed, "I don't wanna go to class." "No going bad on me, Yashiro." "I know, I know.." she complained, dragging her feet as she walked to the next class. Hanako laughed and watched her leave, trying not to let the loneliness return to him for as long as he could. "Hey, Yashiro?" He called out softly, floating to behind her. When Nene turned to look back at him, their faces were only about to inches apart, and their noses bumped together. "H-Hanako-kun...?" Nene asked nervously, her face flushing pink.

Hanako smiled, looking into her strawberry colored eyes and motioning his head closer. Their lips connected for a small second, but somehow, that felt like hours to the both of them. When Hanako pulled away, he smiled even wider, and let Nene return to class, even though her legs felt shaky, she slowly walked away, staring at the entrance to the bathroom, where Hanako stood peacefully.

Nene lifted her hands and touched her lips hesitantly, she felt like screaming, her heart was so excited. She picked up her pace to a run and made it to class on time, but she couldn't get her mind off the events that just happened.
