"I grew up bad, the streets, they influenced me.
My mother couldn't even get through to me." -King Von

Friday night..
West Summer Hills.

"God.. fucks taking him so long??"

Patience was never my thing and this waiting was getting on my nerves.

I was sitting in in front of a convenient store.  The name was written on top of the door, Randy's Corner.

No, I wasn't waiting to rob the store although that's an appealing concept.

I was waiting for someone inside, someone with a lot of money. Money that got my name written all over it.

When I got a call from my homeboy Jay. I just couldn't believe it. Dizzy, one of the heavy hustlers from East Summer Hills was at a house party on our side.

It's no secret that the two biggest gangs in Summer Hills had a falling out and there was tension in the air, just a hair's breadth away from war.

I was part of the Supreme King's, the gang on the west side of Summer Hills. The whole Summer Hills used to be run by us before the two leading O.G's had a huge fall out, separating the gang in half.

Even during their fall out the O.G's new war wasn't good for business, so came to a truce. Separating SH in the middle, one ran the Summer Hill Royals on the east side and other the Supreme Kings on the west.

But beside all that I wasn't here on gang business. This was rather personal.

While at the party Jay peeked that Dizzy's brother Danny was about to drop off the re-up money for his brother. He was gonna make a stop at Randy's Corner on his way.

That was lick. Jay didn't just hear that someone was gonna be having a lot of money but also where he was gonna be with that money.

It was his for taking, if he wanted to.

Unfortunately, Jay, couldn't because he didn't have any weapon on him at the party. Danny will probably be gone once he gets a gun, so he called me.

One part of me says I wasn't at the party because I wasn't in the mood. But the other part says it was because of a certain someone that will obviously be at the party.

I was chilling at Layla's crip, this lil pretty lightskin thing I was keeping as a distraction.

Once Jay told me the details. I ghosted her and went home to dress for the occasion, black hoodie with black jeans. And a mask.

I can't forget that one.

I also threw out my only pair of black sneakers, so I just came with the one's I was wearing at the moment, they where red and blue.

Couple of minutes later here, here I am. Waiting.

Just as I was giving a serious consideration to the idea of going in. Danny stepped and out.

He was having some chips in his hands. He looked side to side but the road was empty as it was around midnight and the night was a bit cold.

I stepped back in the dark alley behind me so he couldn't see me. His car was parked just a couple feet away from the alley and I was planning on taking him there.

Danny walked to the car. I started creeping behind him as he was opening the car door.

Once the car door said click, I put the gun to back of his head.

"Don't move!!"

He freezed and then started putting his hands up slowly. I searched him but couldn't come up with anything, beside his gun.

"Where's it?! Nigga, you better start talking before shit get's messy here!" I growled while taking his gun.

" It's in the car, under the seat."

"Which one"

"Driver's one"

I made him stand a bit back, opened the car and started searching. My hands reached something and I pulled it out, pleased to find a brown paper bag.

I could already feel the was money inside. A lot too.

I smiled made a place on my face. And than I heard something and turned my head to the side, someone stepped out the store.

Shit!

I recognised the person who stepped out as Richie. I only knew him because Jay showed me his pic once.

He was local rapper and his latest song was making noise in the hood. But all that didn't matter here.

" Ayy don't move or I'm blowing! On King's , I ain't playing!"

I warned him, turning my gun to point at his head. I swear I won't miss.

Just than I saw something move in my peripheral. I turned and saw Danny rushing to me..

I just squeezed.

Pow! Pow! Pow!

And Danny freezed at his spot. He touched his chest and looked down on his hands.

They were red.

His widened in realisation. I was just stood there, not believing what I was seeing.

Pow! Pow!Pow!

I heard something and then the car window next to me shattered. I ducked out of instinct, looked up and saw Richie shooting.

He was shooting at me!

I instantly shot back trying to reach for cover behind the car.

One bullet hit his arm and he dropped his gun.Richie started running backwards towards the door, clutching his right arm.

I took advantage of that and started firing at his retreating form.

But none hit and he made it to the door, finding cover inside.

I picked up the brown paper bag laying on the floor and noticed it was a bit wet. I looked down where I picked it up and noticed a trail of blood leading up to Danny's body.

Fuck.

I could hear sirens in the back, so I ran.

After running for what felt like hours, I made it to my street, Kingston Street.

In the apartment where I stayed, a group of around three guys where standing at the door.

Even in night, Summer Hills never sleep.

It's not a great idea to be seen by a lot of eyes in these clothes, so I turned on my heels.

You never know who's gonna talk. Especially when murder is involved. A picture of Danny's dead eyes starring into nothingness flashed in my mind.

I went to the next place that came to mind.
