Chapter Three

Nakari's p.o.v

"We...PASSED?!, THERES NO WAY!!!" . "Satoshi Sensei, are you sure, like are you really sure?!" I asked with a shocked expression as I looked over at Seiko and Ryozo before looking at Satoshi Sensei again, "did I stutter?" He asked raising a brow at me, "well- no bu-" "Then you heard me correctly, you've passed, Be grateful that I didn't tell you that you were disqualified" He said turning his back towards us. I didn't really have anything to say but he could've been a bit nicer, then again he wasn't the one asking stupid questions like me so I only nodded and looked to the other side as a smile made its way to my face then I looked over at Ryozo who started walking away. "Hm.." "RYO WAIT!!, HEYYYY" Seiko yelled as she ran up to her brother, not gonna lie he didn't seem like he was okay but who am I to decide what emotions people are feeling, though it wouldn't hurt to make sure if he was okay, So me being me I ran over to them to catch up when I did I walked next to Seiko who was walking behind Ryozo as she tapped his shoulder though he didn't stop walking as if he was ignoring her. "Ryo there's no need to be upset, Come onnn we passsed" Seiko said as she kept trying to make him talk to her but he didn't even say a word to her. "Yep, something's up". "Ryozo, what's wrong..?" I asked making him stop in his tracks as he lowered his head, "He was having pity on us..He could've sent us back to the damn academy but he didn't..that's what pissed me off.." he said as his hands balled up into fists, "That's not true, He said we had time to learn, plus he saw potential in us! Come on you know he would never do that!!" Seiko said as she got closer to him, "Seiko we literally met him yesterday! Who are you to say what he's like!" Ryozo said turning to face Seiko, his red eyes glaring daggers at her with a scowl on his face, "same with you Ryozo, your assuming he was having pity on us when he didn't even show any pity on us" Seiko said as I nodded in agreement, "yea what Seiko says, you never know what goes through a persons head" I said as he turned to face me, "I don't remember asking you anything to speak to me, And He didn't have To say anything , I saw the look in his goddamn eyes". "Did he just-...oh hell nah", I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths before opening them up again as I looked him straight In the eyes. "Well, technically No One did, but I said what I had to say anyways, Now if you don't want to be lookin salty in the end I would highly suggest you watch it buddy, especially when we didn't do shit to you. Also if you so called saw it in his eyes then Be my guest and believe what you want to believe.." I said rolling my eyes. He only scoffed and turned his back to us and kept walking away. "Sorry I had to say that to your brother..but he's starting to sound like a major asshole..kinda like ino.." I said looking over at Seiko, "Meh, your all good, he gets that way all the time when he feels like things doesn't exactly go his way or when he doubts the situation..I'll talk to him about it later..anyways later Nakari!!" Seiko replied as she gave me a side hug and ran up to her brother again. "How in the hell does she put up with him?..." I thought before looking back to see if Satoshi Sensei was still there but he was no where to be found so I only shook my head and started walking home.

"Tomorrow will probably be better...who knows.." I yawned and placed my hands in my pockets feeling exhausted. "NAKI!!! HEY WAIT UP!!!" I stopped walking and looked behind me and saw Naruto running up to me, behind him was Sasuke and Sakura, I had a small pout but quickly hid it with a smile when he caught up to me. "Oh..Hey Naru" I said fixing my posture and cleared my throat, "How's it going?! I haven't seen you in forever!!!" He said with a large smile as he wrapped his arms around me, I couldn't help but feel myself blushing as I returned the hug. "Um..Nothin much, And it hasn't been that long ya know, you saw me yesterday" I said pulling away from the hug, "Exactly, too long" He said with a small huff but when he looked me in the eyes his gaze softened as he craned his head to the side, "Also..you okay?, you look like something's bothering you?..No one's messing with ya right?! CAUSE IF THEY ARE ILL MAKE SURE TO-" "STOP PRESSURING HER NARUTO". Before Naruto could finish his sentence Sakura bonked him on the head as he groaned and rubbed his head. "Sorry about him, he's an idiot" Sakura sighed before moving her hand away, "nah, it's all good..also I'm fine..just got into a small argument plus I'm tired on top of that..nothing special" I said looking at Sakura, "What was the argument about if you don't mind me asking?" Sakura asked, "eh..we passed the test..but my teammate thought he was having pity on us..when me and Seiko tried to talk to him he gave us the cold shoulder.." I said rubbing my arm. "SO HE DID HURT YOU, WHY I OUTTA-" "NARUTO CUT IT OUT WILL YA" Sakura said cutting him off again, I grumbled in annoyance as I covered my ears, I didn't want to hear anymore yelling and they were making it worse. "Cut it put you two..she clearly doesn't want to hear that" Sasuke said making the both of them look at him before facing me again as they apologized in unison, sure I was annoyed, but I couldn't stay upset forever, I moved my hands away from my ears and forgave them and turned to look at Sasuke and mouthed out a 'thank you' to which he nodded in response. "Ah geez..well..how did it go for you guys? Did you all pass?" I asked raising my brow, "Yeah!, though it was a bit rough and a Ton of plot twists happened! Plus I was hungry but nonetheless we passed!" Naruto said with a large grin as he placed his hands on his hips. I almost sighed in relief knowing he passed but when he mentioned himself being hungry I couldn't help but roll my eyes, 'Classic Naruto, always hungry' I thought letting out a small giggle to his surprise his smile faded as he looked at me confused. "Hey whats so funny?" He asked with a small pout. "Nothing..Your just a dork Naru.." I said making him fume and shake his fists in the air while sasuke only looked at him with an unamused face and Sakura was too busy scolding at Naruto, Afterwards we all started walking home again, though when it came to Sakura and Sasuke taking a turn to go their separate ways leaving me and Naruto alone, he was basically humming the whole time while I was basically in My own little world, we both didn't really have anything to talk about..but for some reason...the silence was really..peaceful..especially since I was around naruto..I took a small glance at the blonde haired boy who had his arms behind his head having a small closed eye smile..

I don't know why but...whenever im near him...I feel...safe...warm...and..happy...

"Um..Naki?" My eyes widened as I blinked twice breaking me out of my gaze. "Shit he caught me staring!" . "Are you okay?.." he asked "uh- yea, I thought...there was something in your hair" I lied as I looked away trying to hide my embarrassment. "Way to go Nakari, he probably thinks your weird now.." . "Ah, Okay then...?" He said with confusion laced in his voice, we were so close by my house and I saw my dad standing outside waiting for me and when he saw Naruto he gave him a warm smile as he waved at the both of us. "Took you long enough" he said crossing his arms, "Sorry dad..got a bit caught up with....something" I said making him tilt his head, though he didn't question it further, nor did he have the chance to, Cause Naruto was basically trying to look inside our house. "I smell something good in there! What is it?!" Naruto asked as he kept trying to peak making me mentally face-palm and pull him back a bit. "Beef stew and rice, there's enough for everyone" He said moving out of the way. "ALRIGHT!!" Naruto shouted with a large smile as he ran inside. "NARUTO WAIT UP!! You can't just rush inside without saying thank you!!" I scolded making my dad chuckle and shake his head.

"Kids.." he mumbled to himself as he closed the door and walked over to the kitchen, "Also, Naruto, I hope you don't mind staying the night, It's getting late and I don't want you walking home alone" He said as he grabbed two bowls for the food. "Good food and a sleepover?! That's even better!!" Naruto said with a gleeful look. I nearly sulked in my seat, "Naruto staying over at my house...what are the odds.." .

-Small Timeskip-

After dinner, My dad showed Naruto to get guest room and brought him some clothes he could change into as I walked over to my room and got undressed just so I could change Into my pajamas and tie my hair back so I could put a bonnet on my head, Afterwards I laid down and looked up at the ceiling for a moment.

"What...is this feeling?...". I thought before I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Whatever it is...it'll probably go away soon.." I mumbled out before falling asleep.
