Today was the day you and Miles were finally gonna hang out. You thought of it as a date, although it could just be something purely friendly... But the relationship between you two did become very much like... You guys were talking! That seems like a much better idea, right?

You texted Kaimana about what was supposed to be going on, which is you and Miles going to get ice cream. She sent you happy emojis and kissing emojis. You sighed and left her on read...

As you were getting ready, you played some music to help get you in an excited mood because you have a slight gut feeling that he's gonna stand you up some how, though he planned it so like... Why would he?

You got dressed in your usual attire, except you ironed your clothes and put on jewelry, and put some lip gloss on. You did your hair like usual and did your makeup slightly better than how you always do.

Before you walk out of the door, you checked yourself real quick and made sure you looked alright, you were kinda going on a date after all!

Your ice cream date was at the local ice cream shop a few blocks from your apartment complex. It was really convenient for it to be there because... Who doesn't like ice cream after a long day?

As you were walking, you saw Spiderman fighting crime near your job. You didn't think much of it until he spotted you and it kind of looked like he got a little startled. But still, you didn't think much of it, but you did admire him a little since you love Spiderman...

The gut feeling got worse. Almost felt like you had to use the bathroom, but still... You didn't think much of it. While you were walking it felt like something punched you. Maybe your moon cycle is about to start? You thought about it and finally arrived at the ice cream place. Except Miles wasn't there. He could just be running a little late. No biggie...

After about 15 minutes, there was no sign of Miles. You kind of got worried but you went and ordered your ice cream, that kind of put the worry away, but except you still had like a pit feeling about what feels like sorrow.

You suddenly get a text from Kaimana, asking how the date's going and she asks if you guys kissed yet. You send sad emojis and a thumbs down, she then says to call her when you get back home.

After about 30 more minutes... There was still no sign of Miles anywhere. You had the urge to give up on him after you finished your ice cream and just head back home... Because who's gonna wait on a date for that long?

You finished your ice cream and started walking back home with your hands in your pockets. You were kind of bummed about the date, but it was kind of expected, those 2 girls (from the last chapter) seemed kind of suspicious about you and Miles anyway.

While you were walking you heard web shooting from a mile behind you. You just didn't care, since you literally just got stood up, and you like that boy a lot.

You finally entered your home, kicked your shoes off, and went upstairs to your room. Your mom wanted to ask how you were doing, but she sensed that sad vibe from you... She didn't wanna have to hear your sorrows because hearing you sad makes her sad.

When you got upstairs to your room you instantly called Kaimana. When she picked up the phone you started crying to her.

"He... stood me up, Kaimana..." You could barely form that sentence, the crying was kind of intense. It was built up ever since you had that wretched gut feeling. Kaimana comforted you by saying he wasn't shit and tried to be a little bit funny, just to cheer you up.

But then, you heard knocking coming from your window as you were on the phone with Kaimana. You told her to hold on to make sure you heard it correctly, the banging kind of got a bit louder and you heard a deepish-raspy voice say something.

"Ma'am... Please open the window." the voice said, sounding like it was upset. You went to go check it out and saw who it was... It was Spiderman. You told Kaimana that you'd call her back soon because you were just so surprised.

You opened the window and let Spiderman in and greeted him. You were kind of embarrassed because your makeup was running, especially your mascara from all the crying you had done. Spiderman takes a good look at you, it feels almost like you could sense empathy...

"Hey, Spiderman. How are you?" you ask him as you sniffle a little. He takes a long look at you, almost in a daze, and snaps out of it as soon as possible.

"Y/N- I mean... I'm- I'm doing alright... What about you? Are you okay?" he asks with genuine concern. Spiderman tilts his head and looks at you, his eyes look like they're kind of... Upset?

You laugh and say "I just got stood up on an ice cream date." you go sit on your bed. Spiderman tilts his head and stands at the pillar near your bed and leans on it slightly. You sigh and shrug. "It's whatever though, I saw it coming."

Spiderman looks at you for a bit before clearing his throat and replying. "Ma'am... I need to show you something," he says, as his voice cracks a little.

"Go ahead, it's kind of funny how... You, Spiderman, are in my room right now." you chuckle softly and look at him. He chuckles back at you.

"Now when I show you this, please don't be upset with me." spiderman says. To you, he kind of sounded like Miles for a second. You nod and give reassurance, as he takes his mask off. When he finally takes it off you could barely see him, you had to focus on his face for a second before realizing that it was Miles.

"M... Miles?!" you gasp and start blushing a little. He nods shamefully.

"Please don't be mad at me..." he looks at you with a little bit of sadness.

"Why- Where- I-..." you struggle to speak for a second. You were kind of surprised that Miles is Spiderman, but not really... You remember the way Spiderman looked at you when you were walking down the street and you spotted him.

"Y/N..." he looks down at the floor. You thought to yourself how you just vented to Spiderman about how you got stood up at a date. You sigh and put your face in your hands and fall backward on your bed. It feels kind of embarrassing.

"Y/N, please..." Miles says with worry. "Don't be mad at me... I have an explanation... I..." you cut him off.

"Just go, Miles. Can we talk about it later?" you give him a stern tone. He nods, puts his mask back on, and shoots his web to leave, but before he left he waved to you.

After he left, you started thinking about things and wondering why he didn't tell you sooner. You sighed and went tried to go to sleep.
