I know, needles are scary

Ratchet is doing routine check ups on all the bots, they all do well for shots except for Optimus who needed some cuddles and attention first.

Optimus was always the last on my list when I did routine check ups on the bots, especially if needles would be involved. Everyone else was on patrol or out with their partners so I grabbed Optimus by the servo and led him to the med berth and told him to sit. He shook his head no. "Opie, I need you to be good okay?" He again, shook his head no. "Uh uh." He mumbled and turned around. I sighed and once again asked him to sit down. He shook his head no and tried to run. I grabbed his arm and dragged him back. "just because I haven't been on the field in a while doesn't mean I'm ready for the scrap yard just yet." I manage to push him down on the table, gently of course. I grab my scanner and do a quick scan. One thing that makes this quick was the scanner, it just told me what needed checked and what was fine. After a moment or two I looked back at Optimus, I knew he'd bolt the moment he saw the shot...it was relatively small. Not tiny but no where near huge. I grabbed it, making sure to keep it out of view. "Okay, we're gonna do an optic test. Close both optics." He looked at me then look at my servo behind my back. He bolted. He ran as fast as he could and hid in his room. I unlocked the door and walked in. Little mech was hiding under the desk in his room. I set the injection on his desk and bend down to his level. "Go away!" He shouts and backed into a corner. I sigh and sit down. "You need the shot so you don't get sick." "No! It hurts!" I sighed. "Only for a second though, you don't even have to look." He crawls over and hugs me.i hugged him back and we stayed there for a moment. "Do you wanna do a countdown from 3 or do you want me to just randomly stick you with it?" "Last one" he whispered. I stood up and continued to hold him in a hug. I grabbed the needle and in my head counted down from 17 I got to 0 and poked his arm with it. He flinched but it only took a moment. "All done! Good job bud!" He kept hugging me but I could tell he was starting to smile
