Wat volunteered to inform the broader group since Tine didn't have the energy to confront everyone so soon. But Tine decided to text Fong personally to ensure he didn't freak out since he had a hunch he wouldn't take Wat's word for it. Those two had been acting weird around each other, and Tine was still perplexed why.
Wat offered to take Tine back to his place to cuddle, watch shitty movies, eat junk food, and shield him from the horrors of humanity for the rest of eternity. Well, he did in his mind. But, unfortunately, he didn't get around to presenting Tine with this option out loud because instead, Tine decided to go to cheer practice.
He assured Wat that he would be ok, and they could discuss their fake relationship's next steps later that night. Of course, Wat was adamantly against this plan. But Tine assured him he wasn't worried about everyone judging him since he was used to it (Wat contemplated starting boxing to control this new punching urge).
Tine reasoned that his team position was more important than the torment because he couldn't lose his scholarship. Plus, things would even out once Wat helped him explain things to the student campus. He joked with Wat that he was more concerned about passing out from starvation since he hadn't eaten much that day.
Wat knew Tine had a habit of minimizing how bad situations truly were. Hence, he planned to intervene and began operation "fix Tine's image" immediately. Tine had enough prosecution for today. He refused to let people talk behind his back, making him feel worse during his favorite activity. So, Wat was going to make it official tonight. The plan was to feed Tine properly, butter up the team with snacks, and give proof that he and Tine were familiar with each other and very much in a relationship.
He parked the car and went to unload the bags of snacks worth the equivalent of a pair of new Airpod Pros when he realized a flaw in his plan. He needed to find out where the cheer team practiced. Unfortunately, the university had so many fields, and he didn't fancy walking around with all these bags to find the right one. So, he decided to call Tine, and prayed he wouldn't get him in too much trouble.
"Wat, I'm at practice, I told you I would call you later tonight," Tine hissed quietly when he answered. Wat felt a tingle in his groin and willed himself to focus. He loved this side of Tine and planned to explore it later on.
"Ah, so you're still practicing then? I'm done with football practice," he lied. He had decided to skip it to properly execute his plan, "What field are you guys practicing on? I'll meet you there."
Tine, who was very aware of the entire team's eyes on him, quickly muttered the location and hung up with a quick bye.
"Sorry, sorry," he apologized running back over to the formation and putting his arms back in the air. He was surprised Fang allowed him to take the call. She angrily reached into his bag and handed the phone to him when it rang, disrupting practice.
"Tine, I didn't realize you and Sarawat were that close," she stated curiously, smiling slightly when he returned. Fang had been distant earlier when Tine first came to practice, and it hurt Tine's feelings that she would also believe he would blackmail Wat. Even if he knew it only was temporary. So, he was shocked that she didn't immediately give him a punishment lap around the field for breaking the phone rule.
"Yes, he –" but Tine didn't have a chance to finish his statement because suddenly the girls on the team started screaming shrilly.
"AHHHHHHHHH It's Sarawat!! OMG!" Alarmed, Tine immediately looked over to see what was causing the commotion. His heart skipped a beat when he saw Wat nonchalantly walking over, double-fisting about 5 bags of snacks in each hand. He walked straight over to Tine and stopped in front of him.
