« It was really fun, Micheal, thanks for tonight. » I told him,

« Oh it's nothing. You're welcome. »

We were heading back to my house, he told me if he could sleep in my room again and I told him it was okay, but he would need to wait till I open the window for him. I used to love my room because of this window, it's not as far from the ground and I could see through a room of Alex's house. But the room was always dark.

« Hey, what's the room that's across from my window ? In Alex's house, I mean. » I told him,

« It's my room. » he simply said. But I wanted to know more so I kept on asking ;

« Do you... always live in here ? » I asked,

« Can we not talk about this yet ? Please. » he said,

« Oh, right. Okay. » I replied.

That was the last thing I said before we walked in complete silence. What was the deal with this ?

After a few minutes, he finally said ;

« Did you ever swam during night ? » He asked.

We were next to one of the biggest and deepest pool. But it was empty.

« Do you really want to swim in an empty pool ? » I said teasingly.

« No, » he laughed, and I couldn't not notice how his laugh made me blush,

« I mean... » he paused, « This place was one of my favorite places in here, and it still is, but now unfortunately they emptied the pool. I... » another pause, « When I was twelve I was diagnosized with really deep anger issues, anxiety and much more. I used to come here to calm down whenever I felt bad. No one ever swimmed in this pool because a young boy drowned in here. But it was long ago. Somehow this place calmed me down and still does. I still come here when I feel sad. » He said.

I wonder what caused him to have anxiety and anger issues at twelve. Was he depressed ? He didn't seem like a sad person but now I remarked that most of the times he got puffy eyes and bags under his eyes too.

I didn't know what to tell him so I smiled an ecouraging smile at him and asked where did he want to swim then,

« The beach » he said with a smirk,

I kept looking at him to see if he was serious but he didn't stop smiling. He was serious.

« Okay,okay. So you want us to go back to the beach at midnight so we can... swim ? In the dark ? » I said while laughing at the end, he couldn't be serious.

« Yeah, what's up with that ? » He said,

« There's no way I'm swimming at the beach right now. » I replied.

I flinched when the cold water of the beach hit me on my toes. The wind kept on hitting on my hair too, wich made it like it was flying away. I looked up ignoring the hair on my mouth, and I saw Micheal already deep into the ocean. I turned around and saw that his shirt was tossed on the sand, I pulled off my dress and tossed it next to his shirt.

« Are you sure it's a good idea ? » I shouted so he could hear me,

« Definitely Alyss, the water's perfect ! » He shouted back.

I closed my eyes and started moving forward into the water, depsite the coldness of it. When the water reached my chest I opened my eyes expecting to see Micheal next to me, but he wasn't anywhere. I kept turning around searching for him with my eyes but it felt like he wasn't here.

« Micheal ! » I started screaming, louder and louder each time I called and he didn't answer, I kept on turning around but I still didn't see him.

I started feeling my eyes getting wet with tears, I was about to cry, was it concern or fear ? It didn't matter though, the only thing that mattered was where did Micheal go or what happened to him.

I kept screaming his name and I felt tears starting to go down my face.

« Got you ! » Micheal shouted, he has gotten out his face off the water, he was next to me this whole time... What an asshole.

« Oh my god, Micheal ! What the hell ? You fucking scared me ! It's not funny ! I thought you drowned or a shark ate you or something ! » I screamed at him.

« Oh, calm down Alyss, I just wanted to scare you a little. » he said,

« Oh my... Were you crying Alyssa ? » He said, taking my face between his hands, we were really close.

« I'm sorry dear » he said, taking me in a hug.

His hands were in my hair and my back, his chest was against mine, and the dark water between us. I didn't know where to put my hands. So I hugged his neck, and put them in his wet hair. We stood like that for a couple of seconds, and I was kind of enjoying it. After that, I pulled him down with me into the water, I opened my eyes but it was completly black. I was scared but my hands were still in Micheal's hair. Meaning even if I couldn't see him, I still could feel him. He was still here. I tried to get closer to him and I felt his nose brush mine, my heart started beating too fast for me to handle without oxygen. So I pushed with my feet to reach the surface. And when I opened my eyes, he was up too. There was a deep silence between us in that moment. But not an awkward one. A loud one. I put each of my hands in each of his shoulders and whispered ; « Your eyes remind me of the sea. »

I felt myself starting to blush and then he put little of my hair behind my ear and whispered in it ;

« You remind me of my mother, Alyssa. » He paused, and I could feel his breath at the side of my face, « you two are the most beatiful women I've ever seen in my life. » He said, still without moving. I could feel his hand in my waist, and despite the coldness of the water, his hand felt hot. He then pulled me closer to him. I felt like my heart would implode. I put one of my hands in his hair and that's where he pulled his face back slightly so he would be facing mine, still looking at each other, he pulled me down into the water and kissed me, this time the moonlight lightening the water.
