With caution, you halted their actions, gently lowering the bow and arrow to see what was that. As you did so, you're eyes caught sight of distinct marks on the forest floor it looked like blood, leading to a particular spot. You mumbled to yourself, "They may not be too far from here?"
You followed the tracks. On the forest floor as you did that you spotted a man leaning towards the tree you noticed how the man was injured.
You approached the injured man cautiously, their concern growing as you noticed the blood staining his clothes and the pain etched on his face.
Without hesitation, You knelt beside him and gently asked, "Are you alright? You seem hurt.""I am fine," the man said and he mumbled something under his breath. "My beautiful Body."
You heard that but pretend not to hear that.
"Hey, I got a place for you to stay and rest up," y/n asked him.The man wanted to decline the offer but you wanted to help him. So the man agrees too.
As you and the injured man ventured deeper into the forest, following the tracks that led them to a small secluded cabin. As they approached, you noticed the man wincing with each step, clearly in significant pain.
"You don't have to pretend, you know," you said softly, glancing at the man's injuries. "I can see that you're hurting."
The man looked up at y/n, his eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and vulnerability. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice trembling. "I never expected anyone to be so kind as even human."
You guided the man into the comforting warmth of the cabin, making sure he was settled comfortably on the couch. The flickering fire in the fireplace cast gentle shadows on the walls, creating an atmosphere of solace and calm.
As you tended to the man's wounds, the silence between them was filled with an unspoken understanding. You knew that sometimes, people carried burdens that were too heavy to bear on their own. And in this moment, you were determined to be the support the man needed, even if it was just for a little while.
After what felt like an eternity, the man finally spoke, his voice laced with a mixture of sadness and regret. "You know, I used to be so proud of this body," he confessed, his eyes welling up with tears. "But now, it feels like it's betrayed me."
You paused, looking at the man with compassion. "Your body may be injured, but it doesn't define who you are. It's just a vessel that carries your spirit, your strength. And that strength is still there, even if you can't see it right now."
