I had just finished my first day on the job, and it had been a terrible day. I couldn't believe how unlucky I was to have such a disastrous start. As I sat down to reflect on the events, I couldn't help but mutter to myself, "Worst day ever on my first day, ugh! I had to deal with a Karen, and... aarrgh!"

The day had begun with high hopes and excitement. I was eager to make a good impression and showcase my skills. However, fate had different plans in store for me. It all started when I encountered a difficult customer, who seemed to embody all the characteristics of a stereotypical "Karen."

She was demanding, rude, and had an air of entitlement that made it impossible to reason with her. No matter how hard I tried to assist her, she seemed determined to make my life miserable. Her complaints were incessant, and she had no qualms about berating me in front of other customers. It was an experience that left me feeling frustrated and drained.

To make matters worse, the challenges didn't end with the difficult customer. Throughout the day, I encountered numerous obstacles and setbacks. The workload was overwhelming, and I found myself struggling to keep up with the demands of the job. It felt like everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

By the time I finished my shift, I was emotionally exhausted. The weight of the day's events had taken a toll on me, and I couldn't help but express my frustration. The exasperated sighs and the muttered words were a small release from the pent-up frustration I had experienced throughout the day.

As I left the workplace, I couldn't help but hope that the next day would be better. I knew that not every day would be as challenging as this one.

So, as I headed home, I took a deep breath, reminding myself that even the worst days can serve as valuable lessons. "That's what my manager said to me."

As I continued my lonely walk back home, little did I know that an unexpected presence was trailing behind me, silently and unnoticed. Oblivious to the fact that I was being followed, I made my way towards the bus stop, hoping to catch the next bus that would take me closer to home.

Arriving at the bus stop, I took a seat, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I had just missed the previous bus, which meant I had some extra time to spare before the next one arrived. Seizing the opportunity, I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone, intending to send a text message to my roommate.

As I typed away, my thumbs dancing across the screen, I informed my roommate that I would be home later than expected. I wanted to give them a heads-up, ensuring they wouldn't worry about my delayed arrival. Little did I know that my innocent act of communication was taking place amidst a backdrop of an unknown figure lurking in the shadows.

Unbeknownst to me, as I focused on my phone screen, engrossed in my message, the figure that had been following me had also taken a seat at the bus stop. They remained quiet, blending into the background, their intentions concealed. I continued to text, unaware of the presence just a few feet away.
