Lily pov
I spent the next few days in my hotel room. I lost track of time and just lay in my bed. I didn't cry anymore but I was left like an empty shell, not a human anymore.
Until now, today I got myself together and dragged myself out of the bed to take a long shower. I stayed in the hot water for a long time before finally stepping out and wrapping a towel around my body. I sat down on my bed without drying my hair or doing anything at all and put my phone to charging. I turned it on after a few minutes, as it had run out of battery a long time ago. My phone instantly flooded with notifications. I had five missed calls from my uncle, and three from my mother, 17 unread messages from my uncle, 2 from my father and freaking 58 messages from my mother! Plus a ton from my other social media accounts like instagram and tiktok but these weren't really important right now.
My mother seemed to be the most worried so I ignored everything else and called her. She answered quickly, as if she had been holding her phone all this time, just waiting for me to call. Anyway, before I got to say anything at all she screamed at me, into the phone, almost making me deaf:
"Where the hell are you and why aren't you answering any of my messages you know that I'm so worried about you and I want you to be safe what if something bad happened to you I'm so worried I was almost going crazy over here without knowing anything and I am like two seconds away from booking a flight to this damn China to see you how can you not think about something like that why would you do that? Why? Why? WHY?"
I took a deep breath to calm a little and switch over from Korean language before answering her and then:
"First of all, It's KOREA mom! Second, are you sure that you didn't actually go crazy? Cause you sure sound like that... Third, I am fine, my phone just ran out of battery and I forgot about it!"
"So you're alright? Nothing is wrong?"
"Yes I'm fine! Although I do feel a little sick, but it will probably get better soon! So everything is alright!"
"Oh... Okay."
"So please let me enjoy the last two days in Korea mom!"
"Okay, I just had to make sure that you're alright, enjoy! Oh and don't forget to bring me something from there... you know souvenires or... or food..."
"Yeah, yeah mom I didn't forget, I'll get you something! Lets talk when I get back okay? Bye!"
I ended the call before she could say anything else, and knowing whats coming I opened my messages, looking through all of those that my mom had sent. Seeing the angry emoji that she just sent me for ending the call I quickly answered with a laughing one and left the chat.
Next I read all the worried messages from my uncle and wrote him a long message, telling him that I'm completely fine and reminding him to keep his promise.
He answered me almost immediatelly, saying that he didn't tell anyone anything.
Uncle: Yes, yes, I promised that I wouldn't say anything didn't I? Well you know that I always keep my promises!
Lily: Okay fine I believe you!
Lily: But... how is she?
Uncle: You mean Cho Young? Well she pretends to be fine, but she has dark circles around her eyes so I don't think she has slept properly at all... and she goes away from the others to cry few times a day...
Lily: Oh... and the boys?
Uncle: She told them that she is feeling a little ill so they don't suspect anything, she was like this in the very beginning too so...
Lily: Good, I don't want any more people hurt because of me...
Uncle: So what are you going to do now?
Lily: I'll stay in Korea as long as originally planned and then go back home.
Uncle: Oh but aren't you...
Lily: No and please don't talk about that now
Uncle: ...
Uncle: Ok take care
I closed the chat and opened my father's one with a frown.
Tobias Davis: Lily where are you, are you alright?
Tobias Davis: Your mother is worried
Little Lily: Already talked to her.
I closed it with annoyed sigh, not waiting for his reply.
This done I scrolled through all my social media accounts, making sure that no one found out about what happened. Thankfully no one had a noticed that it was Cho carrying me and our secret wasn't out.
I then carefully wrote a letter to Cho by hand and put it in a purple envelope. I drew the white soulmark rose that represented me on it and closed it, satisfied with my work. After that it carefully took out the paper that Cho wrote the address on and to make sure I don't lose it and together with it my chance I took a few pictures of it with my phone and also sent the pictures to my own gmail to be sure. Now even if I lose the paper AND my phone, I still have it.
"Today is friday so she won't be there, but she could be there tomorrow as I don't know which day of the weekend she'll come so I have to get it done today" I told myself.
I walked to the closet to choose my outfit. After thinking for a moment I chose a short skirt that was in black and light brown, a simple black t-shirt and a light brown hoodie that was meant to look a bit oversised. I put on shoes(apparently those are called gumshoes or something) with light brown and white.
After getting ready I searched the address and found out that it's the address of a small cafe not too far from here. I got my bag after making sure that I have everything I need in it and decided to walk there.
It was just about 15 minutes long walk to get there. When I reached there, I was in awe, it was so cute cafe. There was no other people there so I took my time looking around. It was a small house, there were a few outdoor tables in front of it. What I really liked about it was that there were flowers everywhere. It was separated from the street with a dark green hedge that made it feel like home.
I smelled a divine smell coming from the inside of the cafe. I then realised just how hungry I was after these few days of not doing anything, that incuded not eating.
I stepped inside and looked around. The cafe looked even prettier inside. In here were flowers everywhere just like outside. My thoughts were interrupted by a happy voice:
...
Guess what?? I'm still alive and writing this!!!
