All of a sudden the entire cave began rumbling; a few of the pots I had sculpted out of the clay from the beach that held my various herbs were falling out of their nooks, and pebbles and rocks rained down from the ceiling.
I coughed, dust wafting up from the ground. It was growing difficult to see and breathe with the muck filling the air.
I quickly turned towards the sandbox to look for Leo, but the dust was too thick. Instead I turned towards the exit of the cave, to see if perhaps Leo had already made it out. To my dismay, several large boulders had already blocked the entrance, and more were following behind those. In order to make it out in time, I would have to leave all my belongings behind, as well as Leo; I'd just have to hope that Leo could use his burrowing skills to make it out.
Not seeing any other viable options, knowing that the cave didn't have any other exits, I lunged toward the doorway.
I narrowly escaped into the light, a few lighter rocks crashing down onto my tail on the way out, causing me to wince and double over. I crashed to the ground and lifted my head up to inspect the damage.
The rumbling had finally ceased, however I still felt a sense of doom. Leo was still in there, and I felt that was no normal earthquake. Turns out, I was right. As soon as I stood up on wobbly legs to try and get back to Leo, a large Teryx swooped down from behind me, its claws digging into my skull. The last thing I saw was a small kind of warrior dragon I'd never seen before, clad in iron armor with the emblazoned symbol of some kind of animal, then I began seeing too many stars to make out anything more.
