When you opened your eyes, you knew you were dreaming.

Your surroundings were cloudy and black, and a few small stars sprinkled around in the space you stood. 

It felt strange...

The platform you stood on was a tough wooden stage. Meant for dancing and the like. Why hell would you dream of that?

You feel a hand grasp your own as you quickly turn around. 

"Aw.. Is something wrong?" 

A familiar young man with short dark purple locks, the eyes you once associated with the night sky was now the warm sunset color you had once seen before..   A fang peeks out from the corner of his mouth.His smile was sharp, coy and mocking.

"Ai.." Your voice wavers.

His clothes were a simple yet sly, black clothed like a man of holiness. Yet showcased too much skin that you weren't used to seeing. He is dressed in a sleek black sleeveless turtleneck, a pair of black slacks which was cinched at the waist with a belt. Long ankle length A dark pink sizable and lengthy bow is positioned at the back of his collar. A bunny hairpin was accentuated by two silver stars and a black ribbon on his left wrist.

You take a step back, yet trip on your own clothes. Long grey ribbons that were tied to your wrists, heaving and soft at the touch.

"Ne.. (Y/N).. Why won't you look at me?" Ai's voice was syrupy and slick as he camera and closer to you.

You back away from him, teeth gritting together as you back away from him.

"Your.. You're not Ai.." You mumble quietly. "Your-r just some part of my imagination! R-right?"

The "dream Ai" squint at you, his smile never leaving his face. "Maybe you're right? Or.. He is~" 

Ai twirls to the side, showing another Ai, he had no starry-eyed pupils. Rather a simple cream colored blouse with fluffy ruffles that reminded you of wings, he too wearing black slacks with pink boots up to his mid-thigh. A bunny hairpin is accentuated by two gold stars and a pink ribbon.

He looked.. So different. 

Adorning an expression you would have never once thought of Ai showing. 

Soulless.

That was the word that could describe him, with a shell of outer purity. But.. Nothing on the inside. He wore a bright pink ribbon on his neck, much smaller than the other Ai's. It was as if his neck was wrapped in pink bandages.

"Hehe~ Which is the real Ai? Ha! What a fun game!" "Monochrome Ai" remarks, taking his doppelgangers hand. Pulling him and pushing him towards you, knowing you'd catch him.

You stumble slightly. This Ai doesn't bother to look at you, but rather his interests take to your ribbons. He fiddles with them while you wince when he pulls your left wrist.

Pink glittering sludge drips from your arm as the other Ai eyes it. His white gloved hands are now stained with it.

"Oh? I wanna try!" The dark clothed Ai takes your other arm, causing you to wail in agony as more ooze spills from your wirsts..

W-was this your blood?

"Ah! What a pretty shade of blue!"  "Monochrome Ai" laughs, his black glove tracing "your" tears.

"Hmm.. Pink suits you better!" He hums sweetly.

"Stop! STOP! STOPSTOPSTOPSTOP-!"

You cry louder, babbling incoherently as if your arms were slowly ripping apart at the seams.

"Angel Ai" glares at you, his hands quickly wrapping around your neck as he pushes you to the ground. 

"Monochrome Ai," seeing this, growls at his "doppelganger."

"Hey!" He yells at him, shoving him away as you shuffle away, gasping for air.

You claw at your throat, air still restricted. 

A warm pink medium-sized bow is tied around your throat.

While "Monochrome Ai" scolds the other Ai, you crawl away, breathe short, and hard to take. 

A soft texture touches the top of your head, and you gaze up and see.. A bunny?!

What even is going on?!

The costumed mascot wore a humongous pink bow as it looked down at you.

"H-h.. hurt-s.." 

The bunny lowers its knees, its cute costumed face booping' your forehead. Picking up your choking form in a bridal hold.

Slowly walking away as "your," tears stained their white form.

Waking up with a sore throat wasn't something you wanted. So you headed to the kitchen for something to sooth it.

Sipping the warm juice in your hands, you softly touched your neck. Sore and dry, worse than the day before, evening, finding small scratches on your shoulder blades.

"..." You take another sip, placing the cup down with a final gulp.

"I know you're there, Aqua." You spoke quietly, seeing another pile of blonde hair beside his hiding space. "You too, Ruby."

Both kids freeze and reveal themselves from their spot.

"Aqua wanted to tell you something!" Ruby insisted, nudging her brother to you. Aqua glares at Ruby before facing your tired gaze.

"What's up?" You ask, giving him your full attention. "I.. Wanted to apologize for yesterday.." He starts off.

"Dad was worried when he saw you run to your room, I was too.. I-I thought I drove you away.." The young boys voice cracks a bit as he lowers his gaze. Ruby stared at her brother in suprise at his actions.

You immediately ruffle his head, smiling softly as you shoot him a kind look.

"You're fine, Aqua, it's fine. You don't have to apologize, I thought it was genuinely sweet." You said.

"I should apologize to you, and Ruby, along with your dad. I sorta locked away myself in my room last night, I didn't even bother to apologize for making a mess.. I'm sorry."

You let out a breathy laugh. "You can call me that if you want, but you'd probably have to ask your dad. No pressure, though, heck, even as a joke. So don't worry about it." You smile cheerily.

"I'm gonna make breakfast. Do you want anything?"

"Waffles!" Ruby says, you nodded, but look at Aqua for confirmation. "Aqua, don't you want anything specific for breakfast?" 

"Waffles.. Waffles are fine." 

"Alright." 

Ruby cheers as she runs up and hugs your leg. "Thanks, mom!" She turns to Aqua and sticks her tongue at him mockingly.

The young boy rolls his eyes at his sister while you laugh even more.

Ai, who was also in a hiding spot, muffles his giggles. A gentle smile decorated his lips in thought.
