You were still in bed after he was ready to leave again. He always leaves nowadays. You didn't understand why. What does he do the whole time while gone? Can't he always stay here with you for at least a day?
You were swinging your roped up legs as Saiki was getting ready, asking you for some fashion advice.
"Saiki?"
"Yes?"
"What do you do every time you leave here?"
Saiki was going to put on his shirt, but he stopped midway. He looks at you bewildered.
"Why do you ask that?"
"I'm just curious," you look at your hands, fidgeting a bit.
He walks up to you as he puts on his shirt. He kneels down and takes your hand, rubbing circles behind your hand as you look down at his genuine smiling face. His face softens every time you look at him with little to no fight. You know it. You've been doing this for so long. You felt flustered at the situation you were in right now.
"Why should you be concerned with what I do when all you need to know is that you have me?"
"Because if I have you, then I should know you."
Saiki gazes from your eyes to your lips, neck, arm, and then the hand that he held in his hand. He lifts it up to press it on his lips, making sure you were looking. He smiles when he could tell you were taken aback.
"If I told you, then you wouldn't be surprised later on."
You were confused and then proceeded to make a light laugh.
"What do you mean? Do you kill for a living?"
Saiki lifts himself to prop his left hand past you as he brings his right to cup your cheek. You brought your hands on his shoulders as you lean back a bit, still keeping eye contact with him. His sweet eyes slowly changed.
"I'd only kill for you," Saiki says.
You look at him with fear as you hear those words. The manipulation of Hinata's death and the sight of Teruhashi's dead body made you shiver at the memories. You tear up and lean on his chest, bringing your arms around him.
"Please . . . I beg you to never do that again," you shake.
Saiki brings himself to hug you back and move his hand up and down your back. He kisses the top of your head and leaves his chin there.
