The Unknown

Chapter Two;

Twenty-one years later;
Optimus was young man who was a Commander and Optimus was working on mission reports when he saw a file.

"General, Moreshower, who is this young woman?"

Optimus asked.

"Lennox dropped that off because she caught our attention for her knowledge of mechanics and advanced technology way beyond human comprehension."

Moreshower said. Optimus nodded in agreement and opened the file. He was amazed by the knowledge that she possessed. He could see why she was recruited. He was intrigued and decided to meet her in person. He wanted to understand how she had acquired such knowledge and wanted to know if she could be an asset to their mission.

"What is her name?"

Optimus asked.

"Her name is Alice Collins, twenty-one and she attended MIT at the age of ten, and earned several degrees from MIT."

Moreshower said.

"I'll pay her a visit."

Optimus said as he left. Optimus got out of his truck and approached Alice. She smiled and said,

"Hey there, I'm glad you made it."

Alice said.

"I was worried I wouldn't be able to find the place. It's secluded out here."

Alice nodded and said.

"It's one of the best things about it."

She then gestured for Optimus to follow her to the barn.

"So what brings you here?" "My name Is Optimus Prime, Commander of my division in the military and I looked over your file, and I thought I'd come and ask you to join us as our mechanic/engineer."

Optimus said.

"I'm that good huh?"

Alice asked as she grabbed a beer and used her knife to open the bottle.

"Yes, your knowledge of advanced technology caught our attention."

Optimus said.

Alice paused for a moment, thinking about her options. She hadn't expected such an offer, especially from the Commander of the military. She was intrigued, but also a bit hesitant.

"What makes you think I'm the right person for the job?"

Alice asked.

"Because you know how to build your technology and weapons from scratch and make hybrid engines and this was a toaster and you turned it into a gun."

Optimus said impressed with her ability to build mechanical weapons from scratch.

"I just have a lot of time on my hands."

Alice said. Alice smiled and shrugged.

"It's a hobby of mine. I like to take things apart and see how they work, and if I can I try to make something new out of them. It's a fun challenge."

"I'm interested, just let me put my flannel on and grab my gear and I'll follow you."

Alice said. Optimus nodded. Alice came back and she hopped into her Jeep and followed Optimus to the Base.

"I'm excited to join NEST and see what we can do there."

As they arrived, Alice was mesmerized by the building.

"Wow, this is incredible,"

Optimus said.

"Are you interested in joining NEST?"
