Nagi's bedroom is just as exactly as what Reo remembers from their high school days back a couple years ago. Even the bedcover is still the same shade of blue.

Having gathered his thoughts in the kitchen as he made two cups of hot drinks for both of them, Reo gingerly placed those drinks on Nagi's bedside drawers and steels himself.

"Did you add some sugar?" Nagi asks idly. He stirs the little spoon in his cup, clearly avoiding Reo's gaze. Reo, on his part, restrains himself from pointing it out despite wishing to have Nagi's eyes on him.

"Two spoons of sugar and five spoons of milk, right?" Reo says instead, smiling faintly. "I still remember the way you like it, you know."

"Ah, right. Of course. Reo is amazing, after all..."

Reo laughs a little. Heaving his body on Nagi's soft bed, he lets out a long exhale. The bed is really as soft as he remembers it to be, Reo muses silently.

"Since when did you like me?"

Nagi takes a beat to answer, and when he does his voice is almost too soft for Reo to catch it. "I don't know."

"You don't know?"

"You know, after Blue Lock ended..." Nagi trails off with an unreadable expression. Reo thinks this is the first time he's seen Nagi looking so conflicted. "...After Blue Lock ended, when we all hung out together, Chigiri talked to me."

"Chigiri?"

"Yes." Nagi nods, finally looking at Reo. "Chigiri asked me, 'How long are you planning to give Reo false hope? If you don't like him that way, just turn him down already.' Back then, I didn't understand what Chigiri meant by that."

Reo sucks a sharp breath. "That fucking traitor princess—"

"I'm glad Chigiri talked to me," Nagi quickly interrupts. "If Chigiri didn't do that, I might never realize..."

Reo smiles bitterly. "So, you're saying that you've known about my feelings for the past three years and just chose to not say anything...?"

Nagi visibly winces. "Sorry."

"I don't need your apology." Reo almost takes back his harsh words when he sees Nagi's face fall, but he decides against it. "So, what do we do now? What do you want, Nagi?"

"I want—" Nagi swallows thickly. "I want to be your boyfriend. I want us to be a real thing."

"Is that what you really want? Or is it something that Chigiri said too?"

"It's what I want," Nagi insists, "I want to be with you, Reo. I've thought about this a lot. I can't imagine being with anyone else."

Reo's breath stutters. He has dreamed about this for a long time, yet none of any scenario he had come up with was remotely close to what's happening right now. This feels too real.

"Alright."

Nagi whips his head so fast he might break his neck. "Alright...?"

"Alright," Reo says determinedly. "We can date. We can try it."

"Just like that?"

"Just like that."
