Irvin looked at me before plastering a warm smile. "Don't be sorry. Let's just enjoy our lunch."

Seconds passed by before our orders were served. By the way she acted awhile ago, I bet she doesn't work here. Parang tumambay talaga rito at nakursunadahan si Irvin.

"We wil bring da drenks leytur." I couldn't help but to crease my eyebrow. Her intentions were really visible.

"Sure," Irvin answered her. I thought it was already over but, I heard some comments from the girl's friends. Yap, I'm now sure that she was into Irvin.

"Ar yu singel?"

"No, he's not single," I interrupted her. "Thank you."

I smiled at her after that. The girl's face turned red because of what I said. Maybe I hit some nerve. She walked away after that, irritated.

"So, how did you come up with me not being single?" A sly grin was plastered on his lips. It looks like his anxiousness was now gone. "As far as I remembered, I'm single."

"Try to say that aloud, maybe that girl would come back again and ask for your number."

"Don't be grumpy Khay. I'm just teasing you," he said before he smiled.

"I'm not grumpy. I'm hungry." Irvin chuckled, causing me to chuckle as well.

The two of us focused our attention on our food, which caused another argument between the two of us. "Do you really think it is safe?"

A soft laughed escaped from my lips after hearing those words again. It looks like Irvin really don't know the meaning of the word food. His eyes were now focused on our food, specifically on the bagoong.

"It's safe." I leaned towards his direction. "Let me help you."

I stood up and went on his side. I mentally noted myself that I'm with a rich kid every time the two of us went out to eat.

"You should try something new aside from those your familiar with. I won't be around someday to show you how," I said before I grabbed his hands. Irvin just chuckled and let me control him. It looks like he already knew what I mean.

Memories flashed inside my mind. That time, he was the one instructing me. Now, tables turned.

"You really knew how to, hmm," Irvin commented. I just rolled my eyes because of that but, a smile suddenly formed on my lips. Malala na 'to.

I couldn't help but to hear murmurs from the table of the girl that served us awhile ago. Since I'm on Irvin's back, it looks like I'm hugging him, causing those girls to conclude something. Bahala sila.

"Boyfriend mo ba siya ha? Kanina ka pa dikit ng dikit ah."

I immediately let go of Irvin's hand after hearing those words. The girls face welcomed my sight, causing my eyebrows to crease. Everyone's attention were now on us but, instead of being anxious, the girl just looked at me as if she was Irvin's girlfriend.

"Hindi naman di ba? Bakit parang inaangkin mo ha?" the girl said. It looks like she was one of those bad bitch who would eventually raise a fight because of some petty thing.

I was about to answer her but, someone held my arm. Irvin's voice enveloped the whole place, causing my heart to beat faster than before.

"I'm his boyfriend, why?"

I knew I looked like a red tomato right now.

After Irvin said those nonsense, heat immediately covered my face. I don't know if it's because of the heat or what. I just found myself standing straight. Shocked.

"Do you have any question?" I heard Irvin once again. "If you don't have any, can you please leave us alone? You're making my boyfriend anxious."

He looked serious and ready to slaughter someone. He really looked like a protective boyfriend.

I don't know but I found myself placing my palm on his hand. Spark entered my system, causing my heart to palpitate even more.

"Irvin, calm down. Okay?" His eyes glanced on my direction, slightly calmed and relaxed. "Please, leave us alone. Thank you." I turned at the girl who looked quite shocked because of everything that happened.

The girl walked away with her creased eyebrow yet, no one decided to break the silence between the two of us. Seconds passed by until Irvin cleared his throat, making me look at his direction.

"T'was a little awkward, right?" Irving's cheeks suddenly became rosy as he said those words.

"It was quite awkward, actually." I averted my gaze and focused my attention outside the place but, a sight of couples welcomed my sight. Wrong timing.

"Why did you tell her that we're boyfriends?" I blurted the things that was running inside my mind.

Irvin avoided my stare, cheeks eventually turning rosy once again. "I thought that would turn her away. Clearly, that was effective." He let out a soft chuckle after that, causing me to chuckle as well.

"Tarantado." I whispered before plastering a smile on my lips.

"Pardon?" Irvin was now looking at me, asking for translation.

"Nothing."

The two of us enjoyed our food, if enjoying means endless bantering and joking.

"Hey Khay, can I ask you something?" I looked at Irvin who was now staring at me. This time, his eyes were holding a certain emotion. Something that I couldn't distinguish.

"Sure, fire it," I said before taking a sip on my drink.

"Do you have a girlfriend already?"
