Heidis POV

Whenever Cartman hung up abruptly I couldn't help but sigh as I pinched the bridge of my nose thinking about everything. He loved me, he really did.

Right?

Of course he did, what was I thinking?! Well, now I needed to figure out who to call to pick me up. I clicked on my contact list and scrolled down it searching for someone who might be able to pick me up quickly. My eyes darted around until I noticed Kyle's contact. He probably wouldn't answer but it wouldn't hurt to try. Cartman always gets mad whenever I talk to Kyle or even look at him sometimes, he's so protective of me. He gets jealous even when I talk to male teachers, it's so cute...kinda annoying though. I can't have any male friends because of Cartman but, when you're in love you have to give up some things, I think? That's what Cartman always told me.

Why do I listen to him so much?..

I clicked on his contact and the call screen popped up followed with the ringing sound effect a few times before his voicemail came up.

"Sorry, the caller that you dialed voicemail box has not been set up yet."

I hung up opening my contacts again thinking about who to call this time when someone called me. It was Kyle. I answered quickly and brought my phone to my ear as I heard his voice.

"Hey, what's up?" I heard his voice say followed by some people in the background asking him who it was with Kyle shushing the people in response. "Sorry if I'm interrupting, could you pick me up? Cartman hung up on me and me and the girls had an argument and I'm stranded about 4 miles from my apartment."

"Of course he did." he sighed clearly already frustrated with Cartman as he always was, "Yeah, ill come pick you up. Text me your location." I smiled at his reply and spoke up after a few seconds. "Thank you, Kyle, I really appreciate it." "Of course, ill be there in 5." He hung up and I couldnt help but to smile at how sweet he was, he sounded busy but was still able to help me when I needed. Cartman never did that, he just always shut me off with a, no.

5 minutes later

I looked up from my phone with a jump hearing the loud nose of a honk followed by a familiar laugh once noticing I got startled, it was Kyle. "Hey, hop in!" He said as I stood up smiling as I opened the door and sat down in the passanger seat. "Thank you again, Kyle." "You're welcome, if you ever need me ill come." He said as he put the car into drive pulling onto the street driving as they spoke. "So Cartman seriously just hung up on you?" "Yeah, just said no." "Ge'ez, Heidi." "I know, I know. He isn't good for me."

"He is going to change soon, I know he is."

I said looking out the window as I did so, that was always my go to reason when people asked me why I stayed with Eric. He is going to change, its just taking awhile. It isn't his fault he acts bad, I love him and that won't change.

"How long have you been saying that?" "What?" "That hes going to change, how long have you said that for?" "Uh...four years?"

Thats when it hit me, I gasped slightly realizing how long it has actually been that ive been waiting for Cartman to change. He never did. Hes still the same since fourth grade, he never changed and wont. I felt Kyle's eyes on me but the car was silent now.

Heidis apartment

Kyle pulled into my apartment building parking in a space shortly after. I look over at Kyle as I held the handle to open the door, "Thank you again Kyle." I said now looking into Kyles eyes as he did the same.

Silence, just silence as we looked into one anothers eyes. I felt his warm hand place a strand of my hair that was previously in my face behind my ear and I smiled softly. The air felt warmer as I looked into Kyle brown eyes and he looked into my hazel ones.

THUMP!

A loud thump caused me to jump as my head turned to look outside the window where Eric stood furious as he started to pound on the window yelling something. I glanced at Kyle who was slightly red but fixated on Cartman. I opened the door and Cartman grabbed my wrist thightly causing me to yelp from the sudden sharp pain as he pulled me out the car. "Dude!" Kyle yelled looking at Eric disgusted with how he was acting. "Screw you, Kyle!" Eric yelled in response followed by flipping him off still holding my wrist tightly, I tried to tug my hand away from him but he looked at me with such hatred and rage I stopped completely terrified as I knew what he was capable of doing if he needed to.

He looked back at Kyle speaking up again. "Fuck you, jew." Kyle scoffed looking at me with a slight worried look on his face before Cartman grabbed the car door and slammed it shut turning his head to face me afterwards. He grabbed my chin tightly with his free hand and forced me to meet his gaze as he spoke. "If I ever catch you with that dirty jew again ill kill myself." "Lovebug...I-" "Stop with that nasty ass nickname. Its disgusting for you to call me that in public. Would it kill you to eat a salad every now and then? You are putting on a lot of pounds, fatass."

He let go of my chin and I looked down at the floor feeling my eyes start to tear up as Kyles car drove off. "Crybaby." Cartman chuckled before walking away leaving me alone in the parking lot as he walked to the KFC next door. I sat down on the street curve and covered my face as I felt tears running down my cheeks, i'm not gaining that much weight...right? Ge'ez am I getting fat? Maybe I am just a crybaby.

I sighed wiping my tears away followed with a sniff as I stood up from where I sat walking over to my apartment trying not to break down and cry when I got a notification from my phone.

"Wendy🫶📓"

I opened my phone to see she had texted me a apology from what happened earlier, I forgot all about it from what just happened. She invited me to a party Tolkien was hosting since his parents had some sort of promotion? "Ill be there, I forgive you. I was in the wrong to." I typed back pressing send afterwards, maybe this will be fun.
