"Where are you going?"

Cassandra stopped gathering her things for a second, and made eye contact with Jolyne. "Don't even ask. Because every time I invite you to go shopping with me, you don't even end up doing anything besides find a good place to stand or sit, and scroll through TikTok on your phone.", she replied, giving her wife a slightly annoyed look.

"...Point taken. But still, I've got nothing else to do.", she pouted. Cassandra rolled her eyes. "Why not scroll through your phone then? Besides, I won't even be gone for long. It'll be like twenty minutes, tops."

"...Because I'd miss you. It wouldn't be the same without you asking me what I think of the same dress in a different color each time." Jo gave Cass a pleading look. Cassandra turned away for a moment, her face red.

*Don't fall for it don't fall for it don't fall for it don't fall for it-*

"UGH!", she groaned. She could never resist those puppy-dog eyes of hers. She sighed, before grabbing Jo's signature black jacket off the coat rack, and tossing it at her. It fell straight onto her face. Despite that, however, Cassandra could swear she felt her grin underneath the woolen fabric.

Jo quickly got dressed, just as Cass finished putting away her necessities in her purse. Jo rested her head on her shoulder. Cassandra's face was as red as a strawberry at this point. She cupped her lover's cheek in her hand, not looking away from the door.

"You're so clingy."

.....

"How's this look?", Cass asked as she stepped out from the changing room. She wore a pale purple t-shirt with puffed sleeves and two buttons in the middle of the neckline, all while slightly above her belly-button. As well as a pair of tight 3-inch denim shorts that accentuated her hips. Topped off with a beige sunhat, and black sunglasses.

Jo briefly looked up from her phone, squinted, before returning to her video of a dog eating.

"Looks awesome, Cassie."

She sighed. "It's not supposed to be 'awesome', it's supposed to be a mix of casual, fun, and slightly sexy."

"But you're already hot enough.", she replied. "So I don't see the need to get clothes for that specific purpose." Cass's ears turned slightly red, but she pulled down on the sunhat and went back into the dressing room. Jo cracked a small smile, sti not looking up.

"You just say that because you don't understand fashion, Jo." Despite her words, her tone was rather fond. She was half-way through putting her shirt back on when she heard Jo giggling about something. It wasn't an ordinary giggle. Oh no. It was a specific giggle that would be hard to get out of her normally, unless you were Cassandra herself.

Not bothering to pull down her shirt, she (almost) slammed open the door to the dressing stall. Cassandra scowled , looking around for the tomboy. Her eyes landed on Jolyne chatting with a girl who looked to be around teenage years. She smiled at the older woman, twirling her own with her finger as she spoke.

Oh. So that's how it was going to be.

After she fixed her top, she stomped her way towards the pair, only to stop and walk as elegantly as she could when she was only a few feet away. Cassandra cleared her throat just as the younger girl was about to start talking again. The girl jumped, and both turned to look at the blonde. The younger of the two, had an annoyed yet nervous expression on her face, while Jo's was one of confusion (Though she was also slightly nervous). Cass plastered a "friendly" smile on her face.

"My my, who's this adorable little friend of yours, Jo?", she asked, "sweetly". Cassandra tried her best not to break character as she saw Jo's entire thinking process through her facial expressions alone, finally understanding what the longer haired woman was implying. She quickly scooted back a bit from the girl, before clearing her throat.

"This-um, she's- uh. Hm. Her name is Elizabeth, and she was asking me about the patches on my jacket. Then she started asking me about my piercings and was just now telling me about the first time she had her ears pierced.", said Jo, looking sheepish.

"Is that so?", Cass asked, her smile bigger, and her voice "sweeter". Jo gulped.

"Yes, really. Um, is he like, your boyfriend?", Elizabeth asked the blonde, still twirling her hair.

He.

HE.

It took every bit of Cassandra's willpower to not burst into laughter in the middle of the store. Oh this poor, poor girl.

She opted for a more relaxed, and slightly smug smile instead as she lifted her hand. "She's my wife, actually." Her ring finger bore a silver ring with tiny rubies adorned on it as proof. Elizabeth immediately became flustered as the realization dawned on her. She stopped twirling her hair and buried her blush-ridden face in her hands. Jo stifled a laugh with her fist.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so so sorry! I had no idea!", the girl apologized, embarrassed.

"It's quite alright dear. I know my WIFE'S quite the catch.", replied Cass, putting extra emphasis on the word "wife". Jo's pale complexion turned bright red at this statement, and she focused her attention at a specific clothing rack. Cass simply smiled, while Elizabeth became even more flustered.

After she apologized yet again, she decided it was time for her to leave, and quickly scurried over to a group of teenage girls. They looked similar in age to her, and seemed to have been watching the entire thing play out. The teens left the store, off to find another place at the mall that sold clothes to hang at. Cassandra couldn't hold it in anymore. She burst in to a flurry of giggles, startling some of the other patrons there. Jo stood silent, though her slight blush slowly grew the more her wife laughed.

"I swear I wasn't flirting with her.", Jolyne stated as soon as Cass' laughter began to die down.

"That's like, what, the fifth time this month you've broken a girl's heart?"

"You make it sound like I'm doing it intentionally!"

"You're quite the womanizer, Jo."

"Ugh."
